and a very Merry Christmas to you all!
I have a button on my vest today that says “I celebrate Christmas” I’ve shown at least a dozen people where to order them on-line this morning, their making a hit I can tell you!
Its fun watching the people who come into the coffee shop, first the sleepy ones needing a wake-up, then the next batch is the runners wanting something to cool off with, then comes the old ladies who will sit for hours and chat about everything under the sun! Later will come the business types who use the coffee shop for an office, meeting potential customers for their services, a lot of them being financial and real estate types. I overhear a lot that is quite usable in my books, I love it!
“I notice a lot of Skullduggery going on!” (Proper usage indeed!)
Really? I thought it was just passing on a bit of my miss-spent youth. A few small snippets of my old school daze. A more innocent time as it were when I was learning so many of life’s little lessons through applied personal tutoring. perfectly innocent I can assure you.

75!
NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meg, such a lovely patio setting, very pleasant indeed. Now are you serving breakfast today??
The Chef took off to romp about with the famous mice, Johnn’s at the Coffee House, I am still in my PJs, Lady Jag has not logged in yet and she will be hungry!!
BTW the graphic you posted of the mouse suspended over the trap is just hilarious!!
Not snowing, nor raining here, but gloomy as is the wont for this area and time of year, I call them “The Mole Months”, as we wander around so much in dim light, not as dim as Alaska though. Poor Kathy drives to work and home at night in very dim light, not great for moose sighting. LOL
Well, enjoy your warmth and daylight, Meg! We will catch up sometime next Spring.
;o) Your writing spot sounds great!
John did breakfast and I ate and ran..LOL
It’s gray skies today so the warm weather doen’t “look” warm from here..I must make a quick trip to the store before the rain comes again.
“Your writing spot sounds great!”
It is, I’m at the back of a coffee shop, sitting with my back to the gas fireplace (oh so nice and warm), and working on my book. I can look up over the top of the computer screen and watch the people here. Right now I have two business men sitting in front of me discussing their bosses, and I get such fun from the descriptions of their bosses. (Clearly these two think they are a sight smarter and could do better though neither is ever likely to do more then work for others.) I will be here the whole day, and enjoy my workday with real pleasure.
I liked the picture of the mouse over the trap, and made it my screen background, just too funny!
Johnn, I am remiss in not thanking you for Breakfast today, great menu you offer.
Now I must go make some toast of sumthin’ as this calorie free Breakfast has me starving.
As the old Jewish proverb goes, “Eat, eat, you need strength to worry.”
We got an ice storm yesterday and it’s just now melting off the branches. It is beautiful but I’ve yet to get a good photo.
check out the photos on the weather channel they really show the ice storms effect!!!

That mouse is one of my favorite finds..LOL
Enjoy gathering material for your writing!
Thank you, and thanks for the mouse, it is one of the funniest photos I’ve found in some time.
The photos were pretty till I saw all the damage it did. Their storm was worse than ours. We still have ice on things but no breaks or outages.
It really nail those folks, something like 60,000 homes without power!
Even if they’ve all gone to shelters their plumbing’s going to burst and finish off their homes.
Insurance companies are soon going to sell expensive ‘freeze damage’ policies like they do ‘flood insurance’ and the poor home owner is going to take the brunt of it!
It might be wise for a generator manufacturer to offer neighborhood deals.
