The LA City Council today passed a resolution that bans the n-word.

L.A. City Councilman Bernard Parks introduced the symbolic resolution calling on residents not to use the racial slur.

Parks says the N-word implies somebody who's lazy, stupid and doesn't speak proper English.

In other words, Hip Hop and Rap culture.

A country that is afraid of words is truly in bigger trouble than it realizes.

I was reading an article the other day about words that should be banned and couldn't figure out what the s-word was. You need a damn decoder ring to read articles these days.

Unintended consequences

Nightclubs shutdown, due to inability to find popular music not using n word.

In other words, Hip Hop and Rap culture.

So how are they ever going to come up with any lyrics to their songs?

This kind of stupidity passes for elitist morality today. Instead of embacing values and standards of a proven code, some progressive elistist prix think by symbolically banning a word they've done something substansively important when all they really did is create more of a confused rebellion from failed secularist nonstandards they created in the first place.

This legislation is aimed at whites who may let the dread word slip out or the few unreconstructed white racists who might yet live in the city limits of Los Angeles. It will have no effect on blacks using the term among themselves. Note also that terms like fag, wetback, hebe, chink, wop, etc., are not banned, at least yet.

Symbolism over substance.

"The non-binding resolution calls on residents to stop using the slur "and to encourage all others whom they may encounter in their daily routine to cease from using the word as well."

Unavailable for comment.

Or, the “P” word?

Etc.

It's SAVINGS if you don't live on credit, you don't need liberals to bail you out.

You’re right. I watched some of “Dog”’s interview on Hannity and Colmes and kept thinking I was looking at one of those “it can’t happen here” dramas. Is anyone really surprised that a bounty hunter who calls himself Dog uses inappropriate language on occasion? This was a private conversation and hardly a “racist rant,” as even sympathetic commentators keep saying. It was the desperate plea of a guy who knows he’s being set up by someone and can’t bring himself to see that the culprit is his own son.

Is the use of an objectionable word IN PRIVATE really worse than setting up your own parent for public humiliation and the loss of his livelihood?

Why isn’t the son being dragooned to come before the cameras and apologize?

A small point on your comments: Dog has not lost his livelihood ... he has only lost the bucks that go along with taping and televising his antics. The bail bond business existed before the bounty hunter show and will continue after the show.

I have no idea why the little jerk of a son is not being held accountable for his actions, other than the media probably doesn't want to be viewed as attacking the "victims" of Dog's transgressions. Also, liberals (the media included) love it when parents are made to look like the bad guy. Liberals encourage all children to tattle on their parental units.

Old Coot on the roof. He spies the sheriff and yells:

"The sheriff is a ni...(sound of church bells)!"

Of course, the PC'd version of the campfire scene was "covered by the sound of horses neighing!

Now the LA City Council are the Neigh Sayers!

Go figger! Is the "igger" sound also banned?

Liberals are so funny. I don’t care about this but they are banning it it LA!!! I find that very telling. Who is saying these words mostly? Probably places like small towns. So why are they going after big cities? It is pretty funny though.
