LOL. And I'd love it. :-)
I am so terribly sorry. Axel was beautiful, and I know how damn hard it is to to face this.
Thanks Backhoe. We had to put Lilly down last October, and I remember the thread you posted for your best friend, around the same time, I think. BTW, how is the centrifugal puppy?
Wife Miss Emily sends you her kindest wishes, too.
Thanks Miss Emily.

Yes, it was a year ago in February several strokes felled Taffy ( 14 years ) and we brought the vet out to put her to sleep.
And after about three days, the silence was so profound ( how does one medium-sized dog have so much life? ) we went to Animal Control and got what they claimed was "a six-month old Collie..."
Vet looked at his teeth, said "four months!" and now he's 60 pounds of Golden Retriever, and eating like a horse, and still growing.
Miss Emily keeps threatening to start a blog, "The Truth About Golden Retrievers..."
Yes, they are fine dogs, but "quiet, sedate, and good around old people and children, because they are so gentle" doesn't seem to apply to this one.
Midway down the page,
starts the tale of Cole, The Canine Circular Saw.
