I don’t think. I can’t recall reading that....

That's because that book isn't finished yet.

Here's the important passage, right from the first two paragraphs of the book ...

........Tawney awakened, stiff and uncomfortable. She was also naked and on the floor. Well, that had happened before. Discovering that she was in a cage was not a good sign.

........ Despite her grogginess, and general ill-feeling, she snapped wide awake. The cage appeared to be sturdily built, and beyond it she could see that she was in a ship’s stateroom. A man was sleeping in the bed.
