Snakes aren’t much for responding, anyway. Shannon is having a conniption because she can’t get to the snake!

LOL!
I’d love to see THAT in action! My daughter’s cat ignores the snake. I guess it’s been in the family too long to get excited by it.

I think Shannon will get bored with it after a while, especially if it spends most of its time curled up in the hollow rock.

I suspect that’s what ol’ Fang did, too. Of course, she’s old and rickety, and not much excites her these days but food. Most of her teeth have been pulled, so she can’t eat dry food.
When she was kitten, she had this gorgeous black coat of very fine hair, and under it was a white coat of even finer hair. Now, that black coat is streaked with brown, so I think she going “gray.”
Poor ol’ lady. She has arthritis, too, so it takes her a long time to get from Point A to Point B.

"Shannon is quite interested in the snake, but Wednesday cant be bothered. We put a bird feeder near the living room window, and she sits on the back of the sofa and watches the birds." I can just picture Wednesday sitting there idly watching.
I think you need to put a little rocking chair up there for her. And a shawl.
And keep an ear trumpet handy, eh?

Wednesday and Fang would get along just fine.
Two old ladies with nothing better to do than rock by the window in the sun....

We call James “Fang,” because of his drooling.
Came home from Mass to find Shannon trying to leap into the snake’s container! Susan was not amused.

Fang had another name at one time, but I never knew it, and my daughter has forgotten it. The cat has one of her bi-cuspids always showing, so I just began to call her “Fang.” She doesn’t care, just so she can get my attention long enough to feed her, or pet her.

Shannon was last seen trying to get Wednesday interested in a scamper. (It didn’t work.) Susan is in her rock, not moving. I guess we’ll see her tomorrow.
We’re recharging the digital camera, so we can get some pictures of Tom with his new best friend, next time she’s out of the cage.

Kewl! I’ll be waiting!
I think I need to start reading HP again. All this talk about snakes is making me think of Slytherin.

Sounds to me like your imaginary social life is rather tame. I mean, you don’t keep your dates in a cage. ;o]
I don’t think. I can’t recall reading that....
