i agree - i have never dealt with a ‘faxed’ will being passed off as an original - in fact, have been told that faxed siggies are less desirable/legally binding (in spite of Clintonian law)since signatures can be reproduced digitally leading to zero assurance the ‘signature’ is real.
Now, it may be that Seidlin just wanted it entered into the records in Florida as evidence that there was a will and the original was filed in California.(Which I think is the case).
What bothers me is: Where's the da** cover sheet and when was the will requested? I expect to see "Per your request, I am forwarding .......... There is also a Confidentiality statement which goes with the fax.
Every attorney's office that I know has a Standard Fax Coversheet. I receive them all the time.
