What usually happens with some documents is that a fax is sent to convey information to another and any originals are sent overnight express.

Now, it may be that Seidlin just wanted it entered into the records in Florida as evidence that there was a will and the original was filed in California.(Which I think is the case).

What bothers me is: Where's the da** cover sheet and when was the will requested? I expect to see "Per your request, I am forwarding .......... There is also a Confidentiality statement which goes with the fax.

Every attorney's office that I know has a Standard Fax Coversheet. I receive them all the time.

Will filed in California indicates it is a copy. I don’t think the original was ever provided. The first filing in May “copy” was checked.

i would imagine that ethics would demand a coversheet, with a disclaimer along the lines of, if you received this in error, call immediately, this is confidential kinda stuff for addressee’s eyes only
