It also reminded me of the so called "gift" called "The Horizons. She just lies her head off...but remember, there is someone in the background telling her "how to lie" and what to say.
The jewelry...Have already said that's been hocked in NYC by Howard...a long time ago.
Some of the best stuff is now traceable because they are engraved with numbers. Since most of the jewelry was from Harry Winston and Nieman Marcus, I'd bet it carries the numbers.
Always wondered what happened to the 10K bauble she had when she "married" Howard.
Ah...he claimed it because he gave it to her...except it was HER money that bought it. And where do you get a 10K bauble on very...very short notice??...and pay for it??
Remember, on the stand, Larry said Anna wanted a 10K bauble...but it would have been BEFORE she left for the Bahama and a 10K bauble was an "unknown" then.
Anna never mentioned even a thought of marriage to Larry to anyone. She more or less vowed never to marry again. Larry really screwed up on that one.
Just for the record, you’re saying “10K” meaning “10-carat diamond,” not a $10,000 (10K) ring.
During a trip to New York, J. Howard waited in his hotel for several days only to have Vickie visit with him for thirty minutes. Just before he was scheduled to leave, Vickie asked that he meet her at an exclusive jewelry store, Harry Winston’s. When J. Howard arrived at the store and met with Vickie, he was not interested in shopping. Vickie gave him a valium, leaving him incoherent and drooling in his wheelchair. She then had him buy her a 16-carat diamond engagement ring. On the return trip to Houston, J. Howard had heart palpitations, and Harding was concerned that, as a result of the valium, J. Howard might have died.
During the summer of 1994, members of J. Howard’s staff learned that Vickie’s “bodyguard,” Pierre DeJean, had a record of multiple felony convictions. Just prior to her marriage to J. Howard, Vickie “lost” much of the jewelry that J. Howard had given to her, including her engagement ring. She filed a police report in Los Angeles, claiming the property had been stolen. Contradicting her claim, she also asserted that she had given the jewelry to DeJean. Further contradicting her claim, she asserted that she had left the jewelry in a bag in a cab. The jewelry has never been recovered. [FN15: The police did not believe Vickie’s story, stating that “the report of lost jewelry is unfounded.”]
I'd say being the 1993 Playboy was the high point of her life....and she knew it.
Don't forget...originally, the old man gave her cash...and told her to stop dancing. And gave her more cash...until she gave in and married her. But I don't think that was it at all. The fastest way to get money was to marry him and scr** him and his family for all they were worth. She TRIED to set herself up for life. She sure caused that family a lot of trouble. Gee...is there a pattern here??
i thnk it’s important to listen to Vicki when she talks about the jewelry - remember this is 2001 and she says, ... all of this jewelry has been stolen from me >>over the past 18 months,<< I suspect by relatives, former bodyguards, former friends, and my sons former nanny...
that is telling me, that the jewelry “disappeared” from 1998 on...it would be so easy for howie to blame ‘relatives, former bodyguards, former friends, et al’ to a gullible Anna - his only concern appears to always have been, not the welfare of his only client, but only the marshall fortune. Additionally, kinda hard to fathom why he would pursue such intense litigation over being termed, ‘gay’, but never demonstrated the same intensity over pursuing those who allegedly ‘stole’ millions in cash and diamonds from Anna!
