that is telling me, that the jewelry “disappeared” from 1998 on...it would be so easy for howie to blame ‘relatives, former bodyguards, former friends, et al’ to a gullible Anna - his only concern appears to always have been, not the welfare of his only client, but only the marshall fortune. Additionally, kinda hard to fathom why he would pursue such intense litigation over being termed, ‘gay’, but never demonstrated the same intensity over pursuing those who allegedly ‘stole’ millions in cash and diamonds from Anna!

That was written in a 1995 affidavit that was presented in court in 2001. There is a police report from June 1994 where ANS reported the $4 million in jewelry “missing” and then came up with several different stories about how that happened.
Some of them centered around her bodyguard Pierre deJean, who had a criminal record and was also having an affair with her. Once she claimed she “gave” the jewels to him. The police concluded the jewelry wasn’t missing and closed the case.
I always felt from reading all the info about it that she probably did “give” them to deJean temporarily and that together they were going to use that as a way to file on her insurance and get some cash for it all - then she would still have the jewelry later on and could sell it again for even more cash.
Her own *401K* ($4.01 million in carats)retirement account, so to speak, lol.
