Update on the inherited strabismus “mystery”:

I heard a quick blurb on ET that Anna’s cousin Donna Hogan had “come forward” and said that it is Don Hogan’s side of the family that has strabismus - that she had it as a baby, too.

Then they said “Larry Birkhead said this should put an end to all the rumors about Anna’s drug usage.” (As if he’d never mentioned the hospital duffel bag and such things, lol.)

Now, I don’t know if Donna called ET and ET relayed the info to Larry to get a quote or if Donna has been in touch with Larry. It’s not Virgie’s family, but at least it’s Anna’s.

I didn’t see this report, just heard it from kitchen, so I don’t know what video they were showing with it, if a clip of Donna or Larry or Dannielynn or what.

P.S. When I wrote the post about Donna Hogan, I was trying to retain exactly what I had heard and wrote “cousin” Donna - and since I couldn’t see the TV while in another room, I don’t know if they showed Donna - but come to think of it, I think they meant her *half-sister* who is always trying to get publicity and wrote the Trainwreck book.

I still *think* they said “cousin” and it might be another Hogan family member named Donna, but I’m betting it’s the half-sister.

OK, last post about this, I hope. Just saw the repeat of ET and it was Donna Hogan, the half-sister - saw her clip and everything.

And, they did say half-sister, it was either my ears or brain which deceived me earlier.

Happens to all of us.

The condition could also exist on both mom and dad sides. I thought Larry Birkhead just had a shifty look but one poster noted his eyes and who knows . . .

Donna H. must be in contact with ET or vice versa.

Almost forgot - today, January 22, was Daniel’s birthday. He would’ve been 22 on 22. Rest in Peace, Daniel!

(It’s also Dannielynn’s father’s birthday, but I figure he gets plenty of attention for such things, so no need to add to it.)

RIP Daniel and Heath and Anna

Five Different Drugs Found in Heath’s Apartment
Posted Jan 23rd 2008 8:35PM by TMZ Staff

TMZ has learned what types of pills were discovered in the apartment where Heath Ledger was found dead.

NYPD sources tell TMZ that nearly full pill bottles containing the anti-anxiety medications Alprazolam (Xanax), Diazepam (Valium), Lorazepam (Ativan) were found in the apartment. The sleeping medication Zoplicone (Lunesta) and the sedative Temazepam (Restoril) — which is used by people with “debilitating insomnia” — were also found.

All of the drugs were prescribed to Ledger.

Do we know where KE and HKS are hiding? Wow...a death and Stern hasn’t helped someone go to the bathroom...

On a serious note..I think Heath was a sad accident. I only take meds for HBP but I would be scared to death of taking anti anxiety, depression, and pain meds.

GMTA! I just posted that same drug list on the Heath - Joker thread, because it was a little different from the first one we heard this morning.

Heh heh - I was *gonna say* - “you still operating under the mistaken assumption that Barrister Stern is the daddy?”

Tee hee - will not be noting his birthday unless there is some good reason for hooting about it - and it’s too close to ANS’s for that!

McCabe’s got game !

Howie dearest didn’t eat lunch? bet after the across-the-bow questions after lunch, he didn’t have much of an appetite for dinner either ! HA!

I was half expecting McCabe to ask howie dearest how many “cooking lessons” Nazzie baby got in howie’s mom’s kitchen, (as Naz has boasted about in posts on Artie baby’ site)....

all in all, a thoroughly enjoyable depo - at least for those on The Truth Side of the street - I caught myself laughing out loud several times :)

noticed he had Angie the hairdresser in tow, coming out of the sushi place. When asked by the paps how old he was now, he was apologetic, saying something along the lines of ‘just another birthday’

and, as the saying goes, girls, if he’s 35, never been married, has illegitimate children, and doesn’t work a steady job - run, don’t walk, to the nearest exit!!

from tmz
“As we reported earlier, the rolled $20 bill found at the scene tested clean for illegal narcotics, and the numerous pill bottles were nearly full.”

Very sad to hear of Heath’s passing - that makes three, (renfro, plushette, ledger)

http://www.bahamasb2b.com/news/story.php?title=Bahamian-Lawyer-Exports-Warped-Justice-To-Turks-Caicos

Posted by newsadmin 6 days ago View profile
One of Nassau’s most criticized lawyers caused a stir in the Turks and Caicos Islands when he convinced a judge to free a murder defendant on bail.

WAYNE MUNROE, of Lockhart and Munroe, represents Cortez Simmons, the son of shipping agent, Carl “Flyer” Simmons, who is accused of the murder of Shamard Ingham.

According to the Turks and Caicos Sun, Simmons’ lawyer argued that in The Bahamas, where a murder convict faces the possibility of a death sentence, persons accused of murder have been granted bail. Persons convicted of murder in the Turks and Caicos receive a life sentence. It was also pointed out that Simmons had strong ties to the community and was not a flight risk. The Simmons murder trial has been adjourned to March.

But Simmons’ release on bail caused a stir in the community because of the serious charge.

The issue of murder suspects who get bail has also provoked local discussion. However, Chief Justice Sir Burton Hall said recently that “the concern should be the number of persons charged with serious offenses [who] have not yet been brought to trial.” Sir Burton pointed out that some of these untried suspects are still in custody.

interesting short perspective:

note Bahamas b2b caption:

http://www.star-telegram.com/245/story/379033.html
exerpt:
“Howard K. Stern, consort to professional exhibitionist Anna Nicole Smith. Remember the sordid fights over who fathered Dannielynn, where Anna Nicole would be buried and who’d get the Bahamas house? Most recently, Stern sued an author who chronicled Smith’s seamy life; the account defames him, he says.”
