You are right. Harris’ statements do leave the impression the trio is in cahoots. One keeps talking and one is bound to make a slip. Yes, KE is missing, an attempt to keep her out of things?
It's probably why Anna is dead, too. KE knew that Anna was FINALLY gonna "get Howard" when she testified at the inquest.
The police know what's in the statement that Anna left behind.
It's the validity that may just be called into question....because in Howard's words, she had a memory loss of the events of Anna's death. He should have never made that statement.
It was an unnecessary statement just like his VERY CLEAR STATEMENT that Anna hadn't used methadone for an explicit time period....5 months.

As for Howard, he made the common error of a criminal mind. He killed two people with the same drugs.
Like Zodiac, Green River killer, Ted Bundy, etc., they had M.O.s for police investigators to follow.
Anna might still do that.
Can it really be considered vaild? Is the written word conclusive? I think not. BECAUSE SHE HAD A MEMORY LOSS according to Howard himself.
A number of killers who got a pass on the first death, were caught after the second one - Michael Peterson, etc.

Memory loss: For not remembering, she certainly knew Daniel was dead when she buried him. Anybody believing HKS, after all the lies he has told and been caught in, needs THEIR head examined.
Scott Peterson was the dumbest of all.
When Laci and Connor's bodies were found in the bay, I had a firm conviction that Laci's mother willed it. Once she knew Scott was an adulterer, she was relentless. I could feel her wrath through the t.v.
One thing most people may not know is that a college student, who attended college with Scott (Berkeley?), ____? Smart, is on a missing list. At least she was last time I checked, which was when Elizabeth Smart was still missing.
Scott went to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and it was Kristin Smart who went missing and has never been found, but Scott isn’t linked to her.
There was a guy (so often the media calls him Kristin’s “boyfriend,” but she didn’t even know him) named Paul Flores who allegedly walked her home from a party and she was never seen again.
I don’t know why people try to make that fit Scott - yes, he went to school there at the time, and even got a flyer asking other students to come in to tell anything they might know about the disappearance, but it was given out to everyone.
The thing is, narcissist that he is, Scott only killed someone who was *too close* to him, with whom he was too emotionally invested to know how to handle it.
As far as I know, just the probate trial itself in Oct 2000 through Mar 2001, but I’m not so sure he was ever even there for any of it except the couple of times Anna had to testify - and one of those times was when he was reprimanded by the court and made to sit elsewhere other than the counsels’ table.
It was a coincidence that I just came upon, and I don't recall any freeper trying to associate him with Kristin's disappearance.
