I didn’t think of ANS and LB being “close” - I was just stating that ANS was either sneak-texting or sleep-texting with him at a time when the world thought they hated each other’s guts. Just a statement that it happened.
I shouldn’t have been surprised to find that out when we did, but I was. And the fact that she opened the Christmas clothes he sent and said on video a thank you for them, stuff like that - *she* said it, he didn’t.
I never was a Larry fan, as some will tell you. But, in the long run, I think he’s much more harmless than HKS, just because he’s Southern by upbringing. He doesn’t *do* the right thing, but he *wants* to. HKS doesn’t even know what the right thing to do is, nor does he care.

a friend went to nursing school decades ago then married. to get back into nursing that friend would basically have to go back to school, and repeat all the courses AND nursing school because of the advances in medicine. I would expect the legal profession to be the same.

He meant his law firm. I’m not sure “which” law firm he is talking about - his solo practice or his partnership with David Shebby in Marina del Rey or some other “PC”/Professional Corporation.

Judge Reprimands Howard K. Stern for Violating Court Order”
Jurors in the Houston Probate Court may have wondered why an attorney for Anna Nicole Smith suddenly began sitting in the audience in the rear of the courtroom instead of with his client and the other attorneys at counsels’ table trying the case. The reason is that Judge Mike Wood became enraged when Stern confessed to the blatantly unethical, fraudulent and unauthorized use of confidential financial documents which were protected by a known, legally binding confidentiality agreement and which Stern pilfered from the courtroom to use in another case. The following is a transcript from the court’s record of an exchange between attorney Howard K. Stern and Judge Mike Wood leading up to Stern’s ban from counsels’ table. The exchange did not go well for Mr. Stern.
“The Court: All right. Mr. Stern, would you come up here, please?
This is on the record, Becky.
[at the bench]
The Court: You filed an affidavit dated October 27th in the [California] bankruptcy proceeding, attaching a copy of allegedly Pierce Marshall’s financial statement. You said you got it from Vickie Marshall’s trial counsel. Who was that?
Mr. Stern: I think I just got it from the [counsels’] table.
The Court: Were you aware that was subject to a confidentiality agreement?
Mr. Stern: It was not marked confidential…
The Court: A confidentiality order – this Court ordered that that document was confidential and could not even be introduced in evidence in this trial.
Mr. Stern: No, I was not aware of that.
The Court: Well, I want you to give your bar information to the Clerk, because I don’t think it’s possible that you could have been here for as much time as you have, with as much argument as there has been about that document, that you would pick it up off the table here and take it and violate this Court’s orders.
Mr. Stern: Okay, Your Honor
The Court: So give the Clerk your bar information. I am going to notify the bar in California, which is all I can do because you are not a member of the bar in this court, and since you are not a member of the bar in this court, you can’t come in front of the bar, because you apparently think it’s possible to pick things up off tables and take them out of here, so just stay behind the bar, if you would.
Mr. Stern: Sure, Your Honor.
Mr. Cunningham (another of Anna Nicole’s attorneys): Your Honor, may I –
The Court: We are in recess until 11:30.”
Stern transmitted the document to California where Bankruptcy Magistrate Samuel L. Bufford reportedly posted the protected document on his website to be viewed by the general public for a period. This incident and others by both Stern and Bufford continue to raise mysteriously unanswered questions about collusion between Anna Nicole’s attorneys and the Bankruptcy court in the California case.

oh, no, I do appreciate your opinion, but You give him more credit than I do lol - until I see phonebills and receipts for ‘toys’ I don’t believe a single thing he says because he’s fibbed so much already and reality has been bent so much already :) We don’t even know if Anna even knew Who she was talking to on his ‘tape’ of their call or her saying thankyou on camera. She was obviously in a child-like state and clearly under the influence. Daniel couldn’t reach Anna, but LB is put magically thru? I don’t buy it.
From a ‘birkhead family member’ and from Anna herself, we know that LB was hell-bent on ‘custody’ - not visitation, not continuing a friendship in the background, but custody. For a younger woman like Anna, thems’ fighting words!
we do know what kind of emails he was sending her and vice versa:
LB - calls ANS ‘sick psycho A**, devil, and tells her to “go to nearest church and pray” “I can’t believe you’re going to ‘bury That KID there’ “and another email about him accusing her of sleeping around, Barth countered, that he lied that he said he and ANS was exclusive. why did he send email then, that says she’s sleeping with everybody. LB describes ANS as ‘tough’ and ‘argumentative’ and ...’just as nasty on each side’ “I had anger because MY child was taken from me.”
We also know what kind of nasty things LB was saying in public about Anna, too, starting in September, continuing thru the first of the year. LB is claiming that Anna was cooing over the phone to him, yet he turns around within a week or two and demands drug and dna tests? LB is also claiming that Anna is cooing to him on Christmas so he goes to Bahamas LE on her about wire transfers? Why at that point would he be concerned about wire transfers? maybe because of less Child Support in his quest for Full Custody?

The subject has been raised before - that information on HK$’ childhood & youth are almost non-existent.
WRT juvenile offenses and confinement - are certain police files confidential and/or purged from an individual’s record? Can juvenile offenders apply to law school with impunity?

Getting paranoid - I have this creepy feeling there are spies checking this thread for links to incriminating & contradictory statements, interviews, media transcripts etc.,

HKS has never been attorney of record on that case. 6% is nothing. My guess is the original lawyers, the ones hks sucks the credit off of have a typical contract more like 30-40 %. Here are attorneys I dug up off several cases. WARNING .. It is not complete yet. Takes a lot of digging through each and every court case and appeals. BUT, Howard is not a listed attorney back then at all!
Note Boesch, an original, states hks “assisted”. He does not say he in any way was a partner in the case.

Howard Marshall II died in 1995 and she entered into litigation with his family over his $1.6 billion estate, Stern helped out. “Howard assisted capably as a resource,” her lead counsel, Philip Wendel Boesch, Jr. told PEOPLE last year. “He presented Anna’s direct examination in the court trial. I did the closing argument and the cross-examination of witnesses.”

He’s only been interviewed a couple of times and I’ve never seen him.
I can’t say much about him until I’ve been through that part of my notes. I know he and HKS were law partners when HKS was doing contracts for free for bands like the Young Dubliners (who I first thought were Irish, but now I think they were from Dublin, CA).
Shebby said he never brought in any business so they split up. I think their partnership was only for a short time and was a long time ago, like maybe 1994-95, something like that, when HKS was right out of law school.
His brother, Gary, the private school principal, also had a law practice, which he closed in 1999. I don’t know if they ever officed together and haven’t had a chance to go any further down that road.
Then, at some point, he claimed at the Seidlin circus, he was apparently partners with Ron Rale and Kooros James Kavarian, one of the witnesses to Anna’s 2001 will, now disbarred - he was the one who was the last to be with an Arkansas man who died of a drug overdose in the same hotel in L.A. - the Peninsula - where ANS once OD’ed.
However, I went through a lot of searches and never found evidence of that partnership, as in all of them ever having the same business address, so not sure about that. I did eventually find that HKS had once had the same office address as Rale had just before Trope, but I couldn’t ascertain whether it was during the same time period.
If any of what I just wrote is wrong, I’ll see it when I continue through my files for the case name list update and post again if there’s a correction.
