My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

oh beautiful graphic, thank you.
Hi Meg, cooler weather here too, moved in this afternoon. I was out for an errand the temp was nearly 80F, I have just nicely gotten home when thunder and lightning rolled in with rain, temps now at 60F going to 50 tonight. This is normal for this time of year here, fifties or lower.Just checked your message again sounds like our temps are about the same.

I think I’ll take advantage and do the ground cover trimming tomorrow before it really warms up. I am glad you made home before the rain hit..I’d enjoy a nice rain here..right after I weed whack the ground cover.

Thanks for the offer of a Muppet Song. 8^) I am back at the grind. Surprisingly, the amount of growth that occurred in my in-basket. All of course have a very short response time.

Thank you for your prayers.
Yes, camping is done until January, when I’ll do a little winter survival camping.
Went out West through the Bad Lands, the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming, and Yellowstone. Saw some beautiful country. The gypsy spirit in me says “Chuck it all, and go live out in the Mountains.” While that may be fun for me, it wouldn’t be so fun for my family.
This doesn’t exactly relate to anything above, but I’ve been thinking of speech given by Florida State Coach Bobby Bowden. He said something along the lines of “without adversity, you can’t build character.” He said something about “you show me someone who hasn’t faced much adversity, I’ll show you someone who doesn’t have much character.” What he was talking about wasn’t just facing it, but fighting through it while maintaining your goals and standards.
Right now, the idea of maintaining a certain character, is just feeling a bit too much. It’s in times like this I have to just take my days one minute at a time.
Well, thanks for listening. Sorry for the pity-party. I’ve called the Whaaampulance, and they should be by soon. (^;

Spy Flies All the Buzz at Washington, N.Y. Political Events
Tuesday, October 09, 2007 The Washington Post Ever wish you could be a "fly on the wall" at a closed-door meeting or to hear a foe’s secrets? Enter the robobug. Witnesses are buzzing about recent sightings of robotic-looking dragonflies seen at Washington and New York political events. And U.S. government and private agencies have admitted to striving for the spy technology, The Washington Post reports, though no one has confessed to deploying the bugged bugs. • Click here to read the full story in The Washington Post. "They looked kind of like dragonflies or little helicopters," New York college student Vanessa Alarcon said after seeing the dragonflies while working at an antiwar rally in Lafayette Square last month. The U.S. has used robotic fliers as early as World War II, but their numbers were fewer and the technology more primitive. |

Well, IMHO this is true. Some times, our character is shaped by the adversity. What say you??
Oh lucky you, and the places you visited this Summer. Terrific!
We have a few really terrific guys here, they have a good perspective on life, stick around and chat with them.

The real problem with adversity is that you still some time off to get your head straight!

Oh, Yes, I agree. I think sometimes God gives us the tools or words of incouragement in places we sometimes don't expect. Instead of looking at adversity as just something bad, it gives us the ability to look at adversity as an opportunity to grow.
I'm also reminded of what I heard about the Chinese word for Crisis...supposedly it's the same word for opportunity.
Sometimes, though, words just seem weak, when your tired. I'm going to try to get some rest.
