Ooh...I like it! You’re right, though: looks like the blue stuff isn’t coming across. I can see it if I look for it, but it’s not nearly as bright as it would be in real life.

Heh - I just noticed how bare the bottom portion is... that would be the dogs’ fault.

Sounds like the Church picked the right person for the task.

The active shooter part shouldn't’t take long.
Terminate with extreme prejudice.

Sounds like something that might wait till better weather. Do you plan on cutting it up while it’s on the roof?

What kind of-- ahem-- present-buying laws do you have in that thar jurisdiction?

(It's just you make it sounds like you could pick 'em up at the checkout...like they're next to the TV Guides or sumpin.

We were shopping at the gun store for a good reason - we’re planning to equip my sister with a surplus weapon of ours and wanted a replacement :) Talon’s got the pistol purchase permit but he can buy guns for me after all.

We got a couple knives for the middle bothers and hints on stuff for Dan’s brother’s family. Yay.

heh... thechurchstaff asked me tuh write an Emergency Action Plan, to include an Active Shooter Plan... I have no idea how come they asked me...

How about acting out a couple of scenarios with paintball guns, and video taping them for training purposes? Give people an idea of what to expect.

Very purty tree. I’ll try to get a picture of ours soon. Now complete with cat ruining yet another “velvet” tree skirt.

In other newz, nayberhood cookie exchange is tomorrow night. Deal is wimmin take 6 dozen of their “favorite” Christmas cookie and they trade around the table so everyone goes home with an assortment.

Challenge here is that Mrs. is out of town and didn’t get cookies baked. So I made up a recipe, so to speak.

I’m doing chocolate cookies from a cake mix and putting a candy cane Hershey’s Kiss in the middle. They’re right tasty, but I’m having trouble getting the kisses not to melt. I’ve put them in the freezer to see if that will help.

Second batch was better than the first. The first melted enough that the kissed looked not unlike nipples.

Any suggestions?

Erm...none that I would say out loud...

When are you putting the kisses on? 'Cause you can wait and put 'em on just as they come out of the oven, or not long before. That's how we used to do peanut butter cookies with a Hershey's Kiss. Or is that what you're already doing?

... and what was wrong with that?

Well nothing really, but I wouldn't want to send them to a houseful of nayberhood wimmin.

Ah, OK. I guess my suggestion was kinda stoopid.

You’re putting the kisses in the freezer, or the cookies as a whole? Cooling ‘em down faster might help.

And I guess I’m just spouting common sense stuff you’ve probably already thought of. :-\ Dunno.
