Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
I don't suppose this was on anybody's shortlist anyway. :-)
But it does open up some opportunities... Like the Galco inside-the-pants soft holster (left hand) to fit the 5in 1911 that would work splendidly for both this and my other pistol in a small-of-the-back rig. I'm just sayin' is all. :-).
Too late... :~)
Ooh, ack. That’s no good.
Kinda cute. What's it gonna be when it grows up? :)
I'd like to see FN make a single-stack ultra-compact 5.7mm carry piece. I don't think most armed forces would be interested, though.
Heh. :-)
They say that its the lightest and most compact 45 on the market, that still accepts a standard colt 7 rnd magazine.
I like that. Well, that and the half-inch holes it puts in stuff.
:-)
Congrats!!
I've been un-crocheting Big'ol's afghan. This is the result of some bad math in the early stages causing it to be more of a trapezoid than a rectangle.... *grumble*
Seven rounds - standard 7 round magazine, very nice.
Now, when you going to pick up a Kimber .22 (kit or dedicated platform) go with the others? I understand they are making one just for you. :-)
Yeah, my story is feeling clunky right now but progress is progress.
I don’t want to go to work today.
Nesting?
*snicker*
Not yet. Talon’s dad loaned us some concrete shears so we can finally get to work on the counters and since Talon wasn’t feeling up for much work yesterday I started in on the wallpaper.
The rest was because I got sent home early from work due to weather and couldn’t sit still with a messy house.
I've been working on the afghan for meeeee. I need more white yarn, though, so I'm at a standstill. It's really rather nice, though. I'm using the same double-strand pattern I used for thenewniece, but making it larger.
I still want to take that one afghan up to Puyallup soon...maybe this weekend, but I'm hopefuly going to this on Saturday (if I can still get tickets!), so I may be all funned out by early afternoon that day. So we'll see.
Nothing like getting to the end of your street to head to work and seeing police tape and multiple cop cars at the apartment complex on the corner. Yay for low rent housing murders.
Oh my...what happened?
Word is it was a “he found her with someone else” deal. Local news is reporting one person shot and killed around 1 o’clock last night.
One of those things that makes you feel glad to have guns in the house, you know?
'scuse me?
Um, because those are our neighbors who are apparently the homicidal types.
er.... right....
To say nothing of the Hillary and Obama supporters...
Yes but at least they aren’t armed (not even for a battle of wits).
