My windows are rattling! And Cisco wants out. He’s not sane.

Well, Gidget would like out too. She wants to investigate all this noise. Homer just wants in our lap.

Barkley, at least, doesn’t care.

Yeah, I know. But the problem is getting the system and the “right” accessories (like two controllers, etc.). Sam’s Club had a “2-player bundle” that’s out of stock. I thought I had it at the local Walmart just a minute ago, but the option disappeared online.

They’re on eBay and Amazon too. I’m just a little skeptical.

I haven’t heard any sirens, so I guess that big bang wasn’t a gunshot next door.

Heh...my point was that I’m kind of amazed at how many are trying to work the system - they buy stuff with no intention of using it, just because this time of year, people will pay almost anything to get one. It’s smart, I guess, but it still seems crooked to me.

I’m also surprised at how in-demand the Wii still is - it was this big last year, too, no? Crazy. Apparently Nintendo is doing something right.

So there’s that...

I did see some flashes off in the distance, though, so I think some transformers are blowing.

I have water, I know where my flashlight is. I guess I’ll be OK...though this time of year, it sure gets cold in a hurry if the power goes out even for a short while.

Yeah this happens every year with the big item.

And yeah, the popularity of it this year caught me off guard.

yeah - lows are in the 30s tonight, and a lot colder than that out in the wind. If I’d have known this was coming I’d have put double blankets on the horses.

Here's a thread about why you're having such trouble finding a Wii. It's the fault of those old folks who are scarfing them up!

Well, I just bought one online. Should be here by Friday. More spendy than I wanted it to be, but probably less spendy than it would have been if I’d waited until after the show was over...

Seems quiet now... one little power flicker.

Here’s to hoping for a quiet night from here on out!

It was like watching someone else’s weather report on the news. No mention of wind, they’re fixated on heavy snow in the passes and the Northern part of the state. It’s not even raining here, just remarkably windy. We have more limbs down tonight than we had in the predicted storm a few weeks ago. It’s like we’re in a completely different weather pattern.

Oh and then there was an earthquake. They’ll fixate on that at 11. We’re going to bed.

Oh and then there was an earthquake ...

Love that exit line ...

Is that the bang Rosie mentioned?

You should go describe what you felt ...

Outstanding! I’m glad you were able to find one. Lots of places were out of stock. Our kids have enjoyed their Wii. I haven’t tried playing it yet. I’m just not a big fan of console games.

Unnngghhh...what a day already...

Jr’s brakes went out on the way to the church last night. We’re taking his car back (or having it taken back) to the repair shop sometime today...we have no idea when.

But Mrs. has to be 25 minutes north of here for a meeting. I have to be 25 minutes east of here or a meeting. Jr. has to be 25 minutes south of here for class. And Luke’s got to get to school. All roughly at the same time.

Somehow we’re going to manage that in two vehicles.

Dress rehearsal is tonight. So ~in theory~ we should be home by 10-ish.

Ok, so maybe it’s not homeschooled...our kids might just be weird. We don’t have the newest technology, and I haven’t heard them ask for it. Thegirl would like an ipod or mp3 player, but she’s 12 at the end of the week. It seems the older they get, the more expensive the toys get...so you got that to look forward to. :-)

... we didn’t feel the earthquake, we just saw the breaking news about it. After that, we knew they’d never get back around to where our wind came from. ;~\

Good morning!
