The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...
Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

I got chocolate with chocolate chip and Bailey’s Irish cream. Both were 1-pint Haagen Daz.

heh, well, it was 76 yesterday and it’s 32 today. Our snow was just a skiff. Gypsy went out, stood on the deck WTF seemed to be what she was thinking.
Radar showed it to be a very narrow band heading south east.

I'm logging off for now, guys. As you can see by my work schedule I posted up the thread, I'm going to be pretty much just working and sleeping for the next few days. I'll see you on Monday!
Happy Thanksgiving!

It will all come together...not concerned about lodging. I keep telling everyone that God’s gonna anti-up a place for us to stay. I’m just looking forward to getting it over with. It’s sure to be hard on him, and I just want to help him get through it.
We have friends who own a number of Paso Fino horses. Thegirl has been taking riding lessons from them and they want to take her to show in the spring. She’s gonna need black riding pants and a vest...size 16 slim. Do you know anyone who might have either of those things used for us to buy...or a place where I might be able to find them? She has been having a blast with this, and it’s a nice compromise for a girl who wants a horse. :-)

Good luck... I’d try ebay... sizing is kindof hit or miss that way, but you never know.

I've lived in Florida for 7 years, but I'm not 'from' here.Virtually no one in Florida is 'from' Florida. Even some of the children identify themselves with their parents old homes.

How bout that; well, I’m fairly certain OT and LSA will be happy to have you keep the snow north of state line.
To: osagebowman
It’s really pretty and not on the roads at all so what’s not to like?

If you can get them in the ground before it freezes, then just give them a good cover of mulch, they should be fine.

Yea, been there done that...no luck. I didn’t know if you (with your horse connections) knew of a better place to look. Maybe I could make her a pair.
Thanks,

Note to self: Remind the Tooth Fair to leave the money
and take the tooth.
ooops...

We’ve got about five of those books. I’ve read two...and liked them a lot. Haven’t talked G’nad into it yet. Is there a certain order you should read them in...I haven’t figured that out.

Yes, because if he still has the tooth, it’s still worth money.

Yeah, I'd say start at the beginning. That way the surprises in the storyline are more genuine. I ended up starting at the end of the series (Act of Treason) and am working my way backwards. Just finished Consent to Kill. Good stories.
