Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Ya. I’m sure it’ll be dead quiet, but it’s the principle of the thing, ya know?
OK, I’m done writing for tonight. That was...not fun. And there’s more not fun to come.
I don’t think I should ever write scenes like that whilst in a public place. It might get me locked up. ;-)
Good morning Hobbit Hole.
I’m off in a bit for my second part of my employee physical for thehospital.
Should take two hours.
I’m eating powdered donuts and drinking coffee. Mmmm!
I hope this isn't the part where they do the blood work...
It’s official. I’m dropping out of Nanowrimo...again.
One of my caveats for doing the show this year was having the house ready for Christmas decorating by this weekend. It won’t happen if I keep trying to write.
Plus, I’m stuck in the story line. Unlike last year, I have an ending for this, and may actually write that in the next few days. This is the project I want to finish and finish well.
Back later. There’s leaves to be raked.
Glad you got it done. Those hard scenes are no fun.
I have to figure out how I’m getting heroine back into things after 10 years of being gone.
I’m supposed to be cleaning and baking pies... but neither has happened yet. Instead I’m FReeping and trolling the NaNo boards and waiting for a curious confrontation to play out. Cat vs. dogs. Dogs are napping on the family room floor. Cat is sitting on the armrest of the laz-y-boy next to me. Dogs usually chase the cats. Cats are usually skeered of the dogs. So the cats stay upstairs all day when the dogs are up and about. But not today. We’re waiting for one of the dogs to notice the cat. Cat thinks this is all very funny.
Uh-oh. Cattle dog has noticed cat. Cat is still laughing.
teehee... cat just hissed. Cattle dog is taking the warning...
Half day at work and then I bake pies. Mmmm!
We gots us a Mexican standoff....
hehe
Ours get scolded when the bother the cats but they still follow them around or just sit at the top of the basement stairs and watch them. With the cats on the stairs waiting for them to go away so they can come up.
Good Morning, glad to hear you found suitable accomodations for Gunner. LSA remarked that if she kept Gunner by the time you got him back, he would likely require two walks a day, two treats before bed, and a sheepskin doggie bed in the bedroom. :-)
Morning Corin - Sure hope you decide to continue writing your story, just keep on pounding the keys, we’d like to know how it turns out.
Rainy day here, otherwise we’d be raking as well.
Wondering how many Christmas catalogs the average household receives during the Holiday season...got to be a lot.
So....has the snow showed up yet? Here in NC we’re supposed to get to 75 this afternoon.
mmm. donuts...coffee...two of the three major food groups. Good luck with the ‘ever had’ and ‘read the second line’ tests.
Good morning! Thanksgiving is sneaking up on us and we haven’t made final plans... you would like to come up with us tomorrow, right?
We just have to figger some logistics for the dogs, and figger out what time we need to be up there. There’s going to be two turkeys... one in the oven, and one on the bbq that we’re supposed to help with. :~)
heh... he’d have a rude homecomin’... he’ll be spoiled enuff without LSA’s ministrations...
rained a bit here already... the wintry mix is due tuhnite...
I feel like I have a bit of a dilemma, honestly. I still haven’t heard from my brother (should probably call), but if they *do* assume I’m coming, they’ll probably be hurt if I don’t.
I think I need to call today and just see if they kind of assume I know I’m invited and coming.
Which all sounds really rude to you guys, I know. *sigh*
If I do go there, I don’t think I’ll stay for super long, so maybe I could be the one to check on dogs. I’ll know by noon or so.
