Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Disturbing, that is. ;o)
Even more disturbing is my MC who is going to go all hack-n-slash on a baddie. She’s going to ruin another nice sweater.
Still less disturbing than the fact that I showed up at the trainer’s at 6:45 and wasn’t supposed to be there today.
Or the fact that, before I left, I asked Not Valerie if Jr. had his “how to” speech today. He’s going to shave in front of the class (since he has to for theshow).
She said “No, that’s tomorrow.” She was wrong.
When I got back they were scrambling to get together the stuff he needed.
He don’t deserve us.
Good morning!
Basically I have to kill someone I really don’t want to. He may not be permanently dead but... well, this is the end of part 2, it requires something terrible to happen. Someone not-really-but-mostly dying at the end of part 2 is a great literary tradition.
Congrats on the murder, I think.
He’s not dead yet. He’s getting better.
Morning - now officially on vacation, night meeting last evening over early. Third Street open, Fourth street closed, it’s goning to be a nice town if it EVER gets open.
Gypsy sighing, Annie whining, all’s right in the shire.
Mmmm! Vacation, eh? Excellent!
I start to work at the hospital on December 3rd. Steve is taking two weeks off so I can do orientation. His mom is coming down to help him and to spend Christmas with us.
I think Steve is looking forward to those two weeks!
Heh. We’re watching home improvement shows....Miss Cat napping, Miss Gabby-Cat wants to play, and Mister Darcy is patrolling the perimeter.
Need more coffee.
I’m on vacation as of 5 p.m. today.
We decided that we’d just have a quiet Thanksgiving at home. Just the four of us and Nana. Then wife’s sister and b-i-l and their three miniature terrorists would stop over after dinner. We didn’t invite ‘em.
I told the Mrs. no use bothering to straighten Luke’s room until they’re gone.
That orientation should be very interesting, we bet that Steve will enjoy the two weeks with the boys. Sounds like it’s all coming together nicely for you.
Home improvement shows?!?!? Ack - run away..those shows always get us in trouble. :-)
Glad to hear the perimeter is being patroled by Mister Darcy.
*sigh*
Congrats, listened to the traffic report on the radio this morning and grinned, I ain’t there. Seems to be an outward migration from town. 63 degrees here, nice breeze; enjoying it while we can.
They was all out drivin' down the main thoroughfare whilst I was tryin' to get out of the nayberhood this mornin'.
Sounds like a great plan.
I work half a day tomorrow, we’re having Thanksgiving with just the two of us, and Friday we’re driving up to see my great-grandfather who lives about two and a half hours away.
That was an odd phonecall I made last night. “Hi, I’m your great-granddaughter, I moved here last year and want to come visit”. I’ve seen my great-grandfather about four times in my life that I remember.
Don'tcha hate when that happens?
My next scene is going to be the hardest to write. :-\ I actually did more of an off-screen kind of thing for the murder...but now it has to be discovered. By the husband. Who’s also being framed as the murderer, in spite of the fact that he’s just *not* that kind of person, and really did love her.
It’s gonna make me cry. *snif*
Not to make you feel homesick or anything, but when I came downstairs this morning and looked out the back door, it was snowing! We’ve got a light dusting going on right now. I was just thinking last night that I needed to get out our Snowman measuring stick that Joseph made in Cub Scouts years ago.
