Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Disconcerting, isn't it?
Congrats - I hope you’ll do us all a favor with a Win-mag tech and range report. The one-round carbine and sidearm combo has always been a favorite of some of us.
Now that’s cute!
Roger that. News I can get anywhere. But it's curious how it has become the ~comments~ that interest me more.
Hey, I got browbeaten into submission when I suggested maybe kinda sorta skipping this year, so nobody else skips either!
Well, of course.
Everyone wants to know what I think about things.
I've got an opinion, and I'm not afraid to use it!
http://www.truckpoetry.net/resources.php Look at the Online Character Creator here. Pretty cool tool for those of us who can’t think up minor characters to save our lives...
That picture has been making the email rounds of our help desk today.
Heh. I likes it!
Yup and I used it as a source of her quasi-sociopathy. Empathy wasn't her strong suit; every action was a calculation to serve her own interests.
That is neat - shame it doesn’t have a terrorist creator. I need a few more. Roaming militia-types and all.
Yeeeup. That’s pretty much it.
January’s perfect! It’s winter so not much is going on in the garden and it has 31 days (February only has 28 days - or is it 29 next year?) In March, gardening chores are getting started again.
I might find it useful... who knows.
I now know how the heroine meets her husband (act I). I know what happens next, vaguely, but need details (part II). Part III I think will be driven by what happens in the first couple thousand words so I don’t need to plot too strongly plus I have a clue what it is. So I just need part II and then I can start plotting.
I have four full characters and placeholders for a couple more.
