This is the first Friday afternoon that I’ve worked in months. It hurts. Stupid company letting us do flex hours during the summer. Argh.

the paper went out, incomplete, at 1700 yesterday... our chief developer/jr owner... had been tasked with writing this proposal three months ago... it was due yesterday (Tues)at 1700... he handed it to us 1700 Wed, saying it just needed a little tweeking... it was entirely jacked... not just entirely without format, but entirely without content... me and two other guys busted our humps all day, but when 1700 came, I had to send a product that was to say the least, not finished...
I suggested we call the POC and ask for a little grace... he gave us till 1100 this morning to hand deliver a copy...
so me and my compadres worked straight thru till 0930 (26 hours straight) this mornin’ un@$$in’ the proposal, and delivered a durn good product...
and the feller that was supposed tuh write it?... he wasn’t at werk yesterday... or tuhday... why?... no one knows...
and if’n yuh ask me... somebodies neglect that could have cost us 7 digits, deserves an @$$ whuupin’... at the very least... but that’s just me...

Congrats - glad you and the other ones got it out. It was fortunate your outfit was within driving distance. Those ‘just in time’ proposals are pain, no way about it.
