The Hobbit Hole XXXIV - But better than rain or rippling streams...
Posted on 08/07/2007 7:52:15 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

Terrane is a cool word! Iddn't though? It's in my bank of obscure scientific vocabulary from my college daze. Every now and again a synapse misfires and one those words pop into my head at random.

Please Freepmail his name to me, and I’ll add him, by name, to our Parish Prayer List.

A lot of our "bad words" are just the Anglo-Saxon for manure, urine, various body parts, sex etc. In context it would have been quite proper to say "scite" in church.

LOL.
It sure is good that she’s pretty. Darn merciful, even.

Oh, by the way, since the time frame was wrong for trying to call and get together on our trip last week, I waved at you as we rolled by on I-95 near the proving grounds both going South a week ago, Monday, then coming back in the wee hours last Friday!

That’s ok - I thought of you, too. We’re currently living in C.H.A.O.S. lately so it’s probably just as well. teehee.

Whoop! Great haircut and a great t-shirt; Maroon and White.
The car looks to be in great shape, congrats.
Wear comfortable shoes to the game - you’ll be standing the whole time. No setting down at an AGGIE game.
Good Luck to Steve on Friday.

That’s great Corin. You know, she’s getting more air time than any other pagent contestant, could it be that she had it planned that way all along?
To: osagebowman
I’m not sure I’d want my fifteen minutes of fame to be on account of being an airhead...
To: osagebowman
I had to step into the neighboring office today to ask a colleague a question. One of her officemates was conducting a quiz: "Why are so many American kids unable to find America on a map?"
Silly me. I hadn't seen the video, so I fell for the gag and gave a nice thoughtful answer. Then they played the video. I'm still stuned.
I'm printing out that graphic tomorrow and taping it on their door...

Uh... guess I missed that trivia. What was this airhead’s answer?
