Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
That is one mean lookin’ overlord cat in the background there... eeek!
A sabbatical has a nice ring to it.
Thanks! It seemed very symmetrical. < /Adrian Monk >
Not sure I can handle that much cute this early.
Ack!
Sugar shock... must... find... caffeine...
Mmmmmm....caffeine....
It do, don’t it?
That is so cute!!! Nothing like to kitten to make one appreciate Christmas.
I wants it, precious.
Oh, for the money to have something like that built! Very charming. I love all the wood and stone...
That said, I’d call it more of a Hobbit cottage like the ones in Buckland than like a true Hobbit Hole. Not that there’s anything wrong with that!
Here’s your Christmas present, Hobbit Hole!

Very good news indeed! I hope it means he will be very involved.
We used to get that magazine. I’ll have to renew it for SirKit for Christmas! That home shows some magnificent woodworking!
We get... drat, forget the title now. “Architectural Digest”? It’s vey cool to look at these crazy places that rich people have. Most of the time I think they’re nuts.
We get “The Journal of Light Construction”. There is always some article SirKit can use. It’s basically a publication geared to Contractors. But I do like “Fine Homebuilding”, a lot. It is good for design ideas, tool recommendations and just basic construction skills. Lots of eye candy, of course, but meaty articles, as well.
So you're saying you only read it for the arctiles?
Suuuuuuurreeee...
