Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
Hobbit Lass’s attention has turned from airplanes to guys. sigh..... Warning! Engineering classes are filled with guys.
Yeah....MMD will do that to ya.
We’d love to stay but it’ll be another 6.5 hours to Pittsburgh so we’ll just head out after seeing you get hitched! It’ll be a great stop on our trip though :) though the dogs may not like being left in the car for two hours.
Oh, VEY pretty!
WooHoo! You got yourself a quadruple Precious!
Pittsburgh? What are you doing there? lol
Vey purty!!
Joseph was going to get ready for work, but we found they'd still not plowed our street; there was no way we were going to be able to get down the hill. So he called and told them he couldn't get there until the roads were cleared. We finally got the driveway plowed, and the roads were scraped, so he went in about 1, and just got back home. SirKit said that driving was certainly an adventure.
I think the snow has finally stopped, so we got 6-8" on top of the 10" we got the other day. Oh Joy! We'll certainly have a 'White Christmas', cause this stuff isn't going anywhere for a long time!
Say now, that is really nice. Congrats Ecurbh.
That’s a right nice snowfall plus what you had. Been a good long while since we’ve had that much on the ground at one time. Not that we’re complaining about that. :-)
Good Luck driving in the snow and watch out for the other guy.
Pittsburgh’s where my family lives. We’re going to spend Christmas with them.
I used to live an hour west of Pittsburgh, near Youngstown. Not a nice area at all. Even Cleveland was better than that.
Yeah, not nice. I grew up about 45 miles east of Pittsburgh, really nice place.
Gypsy got her walk, we were mailing Christmas cards (along with a fair percentage of theshire) and getting a paper from the paperbox (glad a couple were left). Getting chilly out there. The sidewalks were hit and miss with the snow shovels, mostly miss.
I scraped any remaining slush off the driveway (glad it faces south) and have laundry going.
That’s about it.
Evenin’
Well, Mrs. and Luke sang. Jr. went to work. Nana stayed home ‘cause Mrs. had to come pack and we had to get her to the airport.
Been mighty windy out there. Blew over a couple of Christmas trees and a plastic Santa. Got ‘em anchored a little better now. We’ll see.
I have given myself the rest of the evening off. Mrs. was going to make candy for my office mates, but didn’t get to it yesterday. She left me the recipes (and I have one of my own). But I’ve decided I really don’t like them that much anyway. I ~may~ do it tomorrow night. Probably not.
In other newz:
84. Because I counted back and, since we’ve been there, I’ve skipped every fifth year (next year hitting that mark).
85. Last time I took the year off, I lost 50 lbs.
