This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Oh yeah! It even has a nose and a mouth... someone ought to carve some eyes in it!
“Grinding holes” you mean that people made to grind grains or ??? in? How cool! And are those stalagmites, or stalagtites in the other picture?
I’m assuming that’s what they were, to grind grains or nuts or something. And yeah, those are stalagmites and stalactites and the ones at the very back are whatever you call the ones that have met in the middle.
The brothers did us proud, must be their good upbringing and training. They have been exposed to a lot and we have given them a lot of time and patience to explore those scary things like horse eating rocks or horse eating sofa's
Heh, who’da thought you’d find horse-eating sofas out in the middle of nowhere?!
Or VW skeletons, or bathtubs, or washing machines, or wading pools, or so many other thigns we have seen!
Including his brothers nose!
Frog and Shirley had been there 8-10 years ago, but the rest of us had never been. It’s less than an hour from home except for Bladerider, more like 2.
Well, it was more like 2 years ago since I’d been, because I took Hope when I first got her back from the trainers, but it definitely won’t be that long before I go back...except for maybe the beehive. ;o)
More like 3. It is 125 miles, give or take. It takes me 1 hour 45 minute to get to Moulton.
Did you ride today?
I thought this picture was neat. The rocks were huge and they made a tunnel when they fell.

OH MY!!!!
What a story...so glad no one was hurt seriously.
Pictures are great tho:)

I remember this place now....you’ve posted pictures of that ladder before.
Becky
Incredible pictures...thanks:)!!!
And I believe he ran with him all the way up the hill until he realized the bees were still after him.
I liked that rock tunnel picture too. It’s in good focus and the colors are cool.
Good deal! He had gotten into a bad habit of backing up into another horse whenever Hal tried to make him go somewhere he didn't want to go. He had figured out that when he did that, Hal would give in and quit, so it's good that Hal's found a way to deal with it. It was also good that Hal figured out that he could make him go backwards to where he wanted him to go if Soldier wouldn't go forwards. Soldier didn't quite know what to do about that. He'd start his backing up routine and Hal would say "You wanna go backwards, FINE! Let's go!" and Soldier still wound up where he didn't want to go. It was kinda funny. Hopefully he'll give that little trick up now that he's found out it's not going to work anymore.
I think that’s one of the reasons I enjoy your pictures so much.
