Uh... If I got half way up that they may have to rescue me with a helicopter. No way! How’d they get it there? Any road in there?
Ahh, but you forgot the bear tracks!
Some more pics from this shelter...
Us on the far side...
Pic of Gary taking the previous pic...
Guess we are on the same mind wavelink!
You didn’t let me finish!! ;o)
Not me! That ladder was too shakey!
That ladder looks like it’s all one piece! I just wonder how you get a ladder like that in there.
Bear tracks too? Man - this ride had everything!
What about the landslide?
Honey, I shrunk the kids! That thing's HUGE!
They were in the dust by the back wall, near where Carolyn was standing...
Supposedly they found some of the oldest human remains in N. America in this shelter. Here's a pic of some grinding holes that were in there... S
It was actually in 2 pieces, with 4 big bolts or rivets in the middle of both sides, but STILL, even those were huge.
What about the landslide?
I think the landslide was Kari's reference to Faith and Blade nearly sliding off the side of the cliff during the bee run.
Blade is such a good boy, he went and did everything I asked him without pitching a fit or balking in the least. I don’t think he was even mildly upset during the bee rush. Have I told you lately how much I love this horse?
SO absolutely cool! You gals have outdone yourselves with these pictures and adventures! Incredible!
And I liked this one of Bob. The way the light was hitting him, it kind of reminded me of one of those movie moments when the heavens open and the angels sing and God reveals something very special to you...and he is that. :o)
Well, out of nearly 200 pictures taken from 4 cameras, there OUGHT to be a few good ones! ;o)
Awww... that’s sweet about Bob. I’ve liked him ever since he was just a kid and was chasing your truck through the field. And you called him Bob the Biter :~)
I was pleased with Bob too. He did everything I asked, even when it was something silly and totally stupid, like when I asked him to put his head between this tree and this big hunk of swiss cheese rock...
He was going to try to go through there so I had to tell him whoa and just stand there. He has to put up with a lot from me!
He still will bite anything he can get his teeth on if he gets a chance.
Wow. I have always envied you all and your rides but I think now I need much more sedate partners and trails :)
Everybody reaches that point in their life sooner or later, but at least you can live it vicariously through us.
