This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
They're my husband's babies!!!
They are sooooooo cute:’) These kittens are my husband’s babies too (rolling eyes)
I almost didn’t get to go camping because of those darn chickens. I still stayed till 5 pm Sun. and had to catch a ride home with Beth ‘cause he left at lunch to go check on them!
That’s quite a hair-do on those chicks in the third pic. Looks like they stuck their fingers in a wall socket.
We love to sit and watch the rain.
My chicks. They come and go as they please....well except for the girl.
Those little chicks are cute, but that poor b/w one in the middle of the 3rd pic is about the most pittiful looking thing I’ve ever seen. Hopefully he’ll turn out like the Ugly Duckling and be beautiful some day coz if he doesn’t I’m sure gonna feel sorry for him. ;o)
The ducks looking for supper. They waddle from the pond to the barn 2 times a day and back to eat. It's a long way and they have a path.
That's good corn!
There must be a pond in your neighborhood. Are there red-headed ones? Ducks, not the girl. Is she yours?
I want a duck pond... honey said I can have one one day :~)
That’s my side kick..Sarah. One is red headed...in the far back. Across the street behind those houses is a Resaca..a river finger coming off the Rio Grande. We started to buy over there but you can’t swim or fish and sqeeters will carry you away in the summer. Sometimes I still wish we had though. Anyway they live over there and cross over here to eat. Dogs have been hit before but in 15 years I know of no ducks getting hurt. People just stop for them to cross.
I feed these guys dog food.
Sometimes “ugly” isn’t so bad. I bought some chicks once. I added a couple of Easter ones. I had to cull the roosters to two. A mean old ugly red one and “Dandy”) He would come struttering around the hens and they would just flock to him. Then the ugly one would show up and run his beautiful butt out of the hen pen. This went on every evening. We would sit and watch him sneak in and wait for the ugly one to come get him.
Love those trucks :)
I think chicks are the cutest things but the crested ones aren’t beautiful by any means. :)
I swear there must be a sign out at your curb - free food here :)
Well, I think the wind did in my garden today - less than six hours old :( Everything but the broccoli is laying flat.
Thanks. The silver one is mine.
LOL. It seems like it, sometimes.
