She's so pretty -- is there some sort of probability scale(I'm really ignorant of how different breeds/colors reproduce themselves) that would have led you to expect a foal that color?

I guess I need study that a bit. Our teenager has a 7. y.o. mare she would like to have bred. She's b&w TW with blue eyes, and we'd like to breed her to a b&w TW.

Well, they're both pretty - I thought my monitor was playing tricks on me. I thought Bob was black and Hope was ... maybe blue. And then I scrolled down and Bob looked darker.

How's the thumb feeling? I hope it heals completely and you don't have to have surgery.

I finally went to the chiropractor yesterday and got some x-rays after my last fall. Nothing broken, but a "whole lotta shiftin" took place. She got me fixed up quite a bit in that one visit.

The thumb is still sticking out there. I had to have my cast changed on Monday because I got it wet over the weekend and it had started to smell like a nasty old tennis shoe. So while I had it off I got a chance to check things out and I’m 99% sure I’m going to need PT on my wrist and thumb once it comes off for good on the 20th. The wrist was extremely stiff and sore due to being immobilized, and the whole thumb was pretty much stiff as a board. I’m sure it’s gonna take a while to get my grip back. :-p

Oh dear. I guess it could have been worse, but I’m sorry.

Good afternoon.

Our weather has been beautiful today. Finally a day were everything was wet but no wind, so I cleaned out the office, and burned tons of old records. Mack was a wonderful person, the best:), but filing was not his strong point. He had stacks of stuff everywhere in here...I imagine the fire pit will smolder and smoke for several days.

I was happy to find his pilots license in the desk drawer along with some other stuff of his that are great keepsakes.

The room is now ready for painting which I will do tomorrow. So another job accomplished.

Becky

Good for you! The pilot license was a good find... I'd have to think for a minute to remember where mine is! In my logbook I guess... wherever that is! Have you found Mack's logbook?

It was nice and sunny here, but we had your wind. Just breezy though. I mowed the lawn and the part out front around the trailer. Thought about fencing that in like we've talked about. I'm just tired of the neighbor and I want to send a message.

This was our morning! Posted this in the HH but I guess not here!

Possum! Or one of them... that've been under the house. We hadn't seen or heard from them in days, and then here ecurbh see's this one on the back porch in broad daylight!

We went out there and he went through the fence and up this tree.

And then he just stayed there and looked at us.

But no we didn't take the shot. I don't know if you can see the flag on the flagpole of the house across the street, but it's right about under the end of the barrel in the picture. And in between, on the other side of the trees, is the road. Ordinarily not a real busy road, but there's a paving crew out there this morning and a lot of backed up traffic, it's only about 50 yards or so... and we decided it wasn't a safe direction to shoot and opted for staying out of the news if possible.

I sprayed him with the hose and he came down, and ambled off into the brush, but ecurbh was already late for work so we didn't send out the hounds to track him. ;~)

Mack hadn’t been up in a plane flying since before Charlie was born...so no, I don’t think he has a log book around anywhere. The license is in very fragile condition. I’m going to have to put in in some type of envelope.

Possums are such ugly things:)...Can you set some type of trap?

We’re thinking about a trap. Trying to wait till we happen to spot them and get a safe shot off is not a real efficient way to do it.

You could laminate the license... either buy a home kit or take it into kinkos or someplace probably.

Well, I think it’s been laminated once already. The back has separated from the front, each half covered on one side.

That week that the kids stayed here with me, Charlie was looking thru the desk and had found the back side, and we have been disappointed that we didn’t have the side with his name on it. (Kind of tells you how much junk was in that drawer:). The front half was lying face down on the bottom with lots of stuff piled on it.

I see... yeah - it sounds like it took a lot of abuse in that drawer. ;~\

I've been going thru my house, organizing and getting rid of clutter. We are such pack rats.

We're fine - thanks for asking! We got a good rain out here in the southwest part of the county. I had to go into town to pick up my youngest at school and on the way back about 3:30 it was raining so hard I could barely see. I turned my flashers on and was thinking about pulling off the road if it was still bad when I reached the toll bridge road, but by the time I got to the McFarland Blvd exit it had subsided.

Any damage up there?

We went to the bank and stood in the vault when we heard there had been a tornado sited in the Leighton area. We are in downtown Leighton. It was probably over by the time we heard abt. it and went to the bank.
The tornado was caught on a parking lot camera and shown on TV last night. It is abt. 5 miles from us and where Frog was. I will try to post a link.

I’m just tires of never being able to find anything. I think I’m out of something and go buy more or I think I have stuff and go looking and its an empty box, or expired.
