FreeRepublic Saddle Club thread! - Thread 12

Posted on 08/07/2007 7:33:14 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - (very out of date) Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)

I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

I’m being used. She’s back. Calm this time but ready for supper.

Stray cats are master con artists. I haven’t seen Chester in a week or so. Seems he may have moved on to a new family.

We had a little more than that, but I didn’t get to take pictures. My St. Bernard got out during the nite and killed 3 of Hal’s chickens. I did not have a good morning.
On a better note, I sold all 3 kittens within 3 hrs. Tried to find a home for Chops, but I’ll have to take him to the shelter Mon. and PAWS, will help find him a home.
Better that the ZOO.

I had a lilac Siamese many years ago. She was pretty. They’re harder to find here.

We’re having crazy weather right now. Driving rain with strong winds and it’s- get this- 62! I stood in the garage doorway and basked in it for a little.

My goodness! That stopped you from riding? (teasing) :-)

I think this is the craziest weather all over. Our high was 41 and they said it wouldn’t get up to but 38. That’s the main reason for not riding.
Supposed to go tomorrow if Mother Nature doesn’t throw us another curve.
Hope you don’t flood.

We’re under a severe flood warning. The roads were ok when I went out this afternoon, but I wouldn’t be surprised if parts of the state more south and east of me, like New Bedford and Plymouth as well as the Cape, got flooded out.

LOL! I hope you’re joking! ;-) That’s downright balmy. :-D It was a nice warm wind, and if it wasn’t raining, I would have taken a walk. It’s down to 55 now.

...(you can't imagine how helpful Labs are when dealing with teeny teeny tiny little seed beads . . . . . not!)

Yes I can! They're about as helpful as cats when you're trying to do ANYTHING that you don't want them to get into.

Bummer about the chickens, but good news about the kittens. I’m just glad that the dog didn’t get any of your cats.

He doesn’t bother baby kittens. He just has a thing for chickens.
Pictures were great.

Tuscaloosa G- did you have to lie down to take that one.
