This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Hey, Frog'll have to build a house first. I got no place to put anybody. Poor ol' BladeRider's having to sleep in her horse trailer on Wednesday night. But yes, one of these days I'm DEFINATELY going to invite everybody to my place.
And I’d LOVE to see your place too. Those wide open spaces out there are just breathtaking. Of course we’d have to do it when it’s not 115* in the shade or 20 below. ;o)
Hey that sounds like a great idea too. I’d like to ride in the desert :~) At least... when it’s not terribly hot!
Well, if we have to stay in the horse trailer, at least you won’t have to worry about us staying too long! :~)
I promise it rarely gets to 115 in the shade or 20 below here :) Spring and fall are really nice and early morning or evening even in the hottest part of the summer are great. When the sun goes down, flannels usually come out. It’s not unusual to have a 40 degree drop in temps in the summer as soon as the sun goes down.
We definitely need to pick another time to get together, I’m there wherever:)
I’ve got the mowing done, and Dot’s temp. pen put up. So now it’s just a waiting game, well other then making a few beds, and one last push of the vacum:)
Looks like Wed. might be out for riding, rain:(. But we’ll wait to see what it’s like, if we can’t ride, we can still get together to visit, 2J. Maybe come see the bug that day.
Becky
I’m not worried about it at all :~)
Sounds like a good day for visiting, seeing 2J and showin’ me around town :~)
Well, the drainage is all sluiced out, all the laundry’s done... what else do I have to do?
Sure....you have mail.
So what’s everyone doing now? I had to lay down a bit and recharge:)
drumming fingers now here too:)
Becky
It’s her volkswagon that she is restoring:)
Becky
Oh hey, cool!
I just took a bath and shaved my legs, just in case it’s warm enough for shorts. :~)
Well, were is everyone at? Awful quiet here.
BTW is anyone else having trouble with the pingy thing not pinging when you get a message? I’ve got the volume turned up as high as it will go, and haven’t heard it ping any of the lastest messages I’ve gotten. Notice too, it often says, Temp. unavailable...does that mean it’s not working?
Becky
LOL...well the forecast is saying 78 with rain only on Wed.
Becky
That temp. unavailable error has been showing up a lot. I think he’s done something, or is doing something, with the software that ain’t fixed yet.
Well, it pinged me for this one. Yeah I’ve noticed it a lot recently.
So are you going to even try to go to bed tonight? Geez what time are you going to have to get up? I’d have to, probably will too tonight, take a Tylenol PM to sleep.
Becky
I’m going to bathe and braid my hair before bed, get up at 2, get dressed, slam some coffee and get on the shuttle :~)
LOl...well, If I happen to wake up at that time, I’ll think of you:)
You know when I came home last year, I feel asleep shortly after we flew over Mt. St. Helens, and slept all the way to Dallas. I have a feeling I may have even snored some:)...When I woke up, I couldn’t believe I had slept the whole way.
