This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Uh...FREEZING
I think Dusty and BamBam will both ge going to homes where very little is asked of them. That's okay, they both prefer not working for a living.
That just floors me about the frost. We won’t get frost until mid November at the earliest. Sometimes it’s 70-something degrees on Thanksgiving Day. But then you know that. You’ve lived here for a while.
Wow snow, it is in the mid-eighties here. Too darn hot.
Tomorrow is last day of garage sale. Sold quite a bit today and Amy came home and dragged some more stuff out of the basement. Everytime I go to get my saddle, someone comes. I sure will be glad when this is over. I had two Appaloosa yearbooks, one from 1972 and one from 1973. I sold them both for a dollar. Then I gave the lady a box of old Journals. She has a friend who likes Appaloosas and is on dialysis, so he needs plenty of reading material.
More tired today. :)
Beaker, I went and read the post - you've got more patience than me :) I almost never post there anymore, afraid I'll end up banned for really yelling at someone.
Frog - I sometimes really miss the weather there, just not the humidity :) I'm giving pumpkins to all the kids to carve and then carving one myself. I'll probably freeze some too. This is the one I'm carving.
This guy has a great website also for people with sick senses of humor, like me.
ROTFLOL!!!!!!!!
The thing about the horse forum is that as hard as it might be sometimes, I stay away from the problem posters or the serial posters. I refuse to get into arguments with twelve year olds or bratty teenagers. I don’t post often, because if I did, I would be banned faster than you could say “High Ho Silver.” ;-) Either that or be accused of being a rude meanie.
I'm back from Seattle... even more brain dead than last night. If I had to do this every day by the end of the first week I would be reduced to a mumbling idiot ;~)
Here's some space needle pictures from today:
This morning early... Can barely see the Olympic Mountains in the sun :~)
This afternoon:
Barkley after I picked him up from ecurbh's office on the way home. He spent the day in the back of the Ranger, getting walks every hour or two... I'm told he has passed quite a load today.
Wow... didn’t know they were starting Thursdays now...
All done now or more this weekend?
Wow, quite a contrast. I love the first picture. Gorgeous.
Barkley is quite sure he didn’t do anything too terribly wrong - I can see it in his eye :)
I just want to reach through the monitor and slap some of the kids there - and my fingers moe faster than my brain sometimes.
Very nice pictures.
I’m about to hit the “mumbling idiot” stage, and I’m not even having to fight traffic like that.
The farrier came yesterday. He made the comment when he got done that Harley’s feet are looking a lot more balanced and the jammed heels are relaxing...
Rocky’s feet he said are somewhat under run, I may go ahead and keep him in shoes till we get this fixed.
I’ve come to the conclusion, that Harley is just a hard horse to keep shoes on or the weather is the problem that is causing his shoes to get loose. But Rocky’s were fine...I think it must be Harley, why I don’t know.
Looking forward to Frog being here to look at him. I just think it’s too hard to get an honest evaluation from pictures.

I try hard to not get into it with all those young girls...LOL...it usually turns into a disaster. I don’t think any of them are there to really learn, just talk. I might give one answer here and there to one, if I really feel I know what they are talking about, that I have the whole story:), and even tho I figure they won’t listen right now, they might when they’ve tried everything else that their own little brains thought up:)
