This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share, usually about our horses, sometimes about our dogs, gardens and other stuff we do. :~)
I have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will ping everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
Oh man, now how will I be able to smoke out the tailgaters! I pull out on the road and they speed up, so I just floor it and let them suck up all that black smoke in their AC. Sure makes them back off in a hurry. :)
The dogs look proud too.
I love the picture of her with the dogs. That's one I'd have to have enlarged and framed.
Some days going back to bed seems like the best solution.
That’s a lot of deer!
What a beautiful video - at first I thought maybe they were tame deer but they aren’t :) Thanks for the smile.
This is the little calico - Sister 1. Last night I had set the tuna up on the table where the food usually is, in the doorway of the crate. But she didn't figure that out. She saw me and smelled the tuna and she just sat and stared at me expectantly for a long time. ;~)
Finally she found it.
Then THIS little one shows up... Hello... who are you?
This one looks like the little grey tiger "Brother", but it's a calico too and she has dark feet, his are white. I think there is now a "Sister 2". Oh dear.
Yeah - I sure hope if I get these critters corralled, I can find a cheap spay/neuter deal.
NOT funny ;~)
Mr. Booth skirts uncomfortably close to reality!
Well the first on hits close to home too, with the dogs. We discovered recently with Barkley here, and then dog-sitting Rosie’s, that we didn’t want to have FOUR dogs. Three is still manageable, four is going to the dogs.
My husband draws the line at two . . . but we almost had three! Escaped because (1) he already had a good home with our trainer where he doesn’t do anything but eat a little extra dog food and (2) he isn’t really the kind of Lab I like at all, he’s a great big gangling silly boy. I like little neat tidy silly girls.
Hair, those kittens look just like the "camping kitty" that visited us on Labor Day. Cute little calicos.
We had a little rain last night. Lots of lightening. It was so hot and humid, we had to kick the A/C back on.
Good Morning!
Very hot and humid here today. It’s supposed to be in the 90s. Very unusual for this time of year. I’m ready for it to start cooling off.
Hair those kittens are adorable. The grey calico looks like my mother’s cat.
How are things going with Barkley and the gang?
I wish they would let me grab them! I’d try to give them a safer, easier life than the one that’s ahead of them on their own. I’m trying to be patient.
