Thanks for the links, Molly....the NYT's article was interesting....I think they finally get it....at least we can hope they do.

The Bush administration has over four years lost essentially all credibility. Yet now the administration’s critics, in part as a result, seem unaware of the significant changes taking place.

The above was in the article in the NYT...why do they always have to slam the President and his administration!!

I think it is the media that has lost all credibility. Our nation should be proud that we have such a gentleman as President.

Have I mentioned lately that I hate the media!

Oh my, what a shock for him, too. You wonder how tired these pilots must be with what they do...

Well we had 1 family leave the program in a huff last night: as part of the contract they sign, they were required to help with the dinner clean-up...take a turn, you know...well, when it came to do it, they refused, packed up their things and left.

One of the other guests cheerfully offered then, even tho she'll have her own turn this week..

So that was really nice, and made everyone more comfortable after the fuss.

The kids in this week's group are really adorable. I hope they can all find good housing soon.

A very good article by Congressman BillyBob.

Latest article, “Who’s in Charge of America?”

(Hope I have done this right, it is a good read.)

I haven’t talked to my grandson since the air show but guess he was pretty shaken by the plane crash, from what my daughter said. He loves airplanes and dreams of being a pilot. I know it must be a terrible shock, so sad for the pilot’s families also.

Molly, you have been a faithful person in your help to these families...it is heartwrenching when there is confrontation about such a tiny thing as “doing their share to help”. God bless you.

I have been given a bag full of green beans, (I am blessed with great neighbors, much like Toby)......so I will be blanching most of them for the freezer......and also putting on a pot of green beans, potatoes and smoked sausages for dinner.

Hopefully will be back much later.

Orders from the home house, ‘take it easy today’, in other words, be lazy which I hate to do. MIGHT go to Wall Mart today but not sure, just found out that more of Allie’s friends are coming over to swim.

Well, Jack and I survived and thrived in our week in the early 19th Century last week. We were in Mountain Man Camp at Camp Ottari in the Blue Ridge Scout Reservation. It was a superb experience and the staff were terrific. Jack did very well and is interested in applying for a staff position at the camp next summer.

I was told today that it looks like I will be offered a transfer back up to New Hampshire. Jack is really excited about this. So am I.

By the way, in the spirit of the camp, I stopped shaving on the Friday before last. Jack asked me to keep the beard, so I do it! The look of utter disdain I got from some woman in a Cracker Barrel was delightful! The beard stays!

Think I will clean my ‘Shack in the Back’, needs it for sure ONLY to have daughter come over and clean again, she is always telling me I don’t know how to clean, Er, I just CAN”T tell her MY cleaning is done by design cause I know when she comes over it will get a good cleaning. Amazing what all you learn in 71 years.

Good morning everybody. We made it over the divide, although it was a lot of driving for one day. Wolf Creek pass was everything I’d heard it to be....beautifully scenic and steep! (7% to 8% grade.....yikes!)

But we are here now and hopefully will adjust to the altitude soon.....(zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz)

It’s delightfully cool here, first time in many months that the air conditioning units haven’t run for much of the night.

I have gone to Co. to study some police departments in the 70’s and was taken to the highest of the highest of the mountains, I loved it.

I’m always interested to see the variation in landscape of different parts of the Rockies. This area has quite a lot of clay in the soil, some sort of deciduous trees, but not aspen, and pine. And sagebrush, I believe.
