It was my favorite mirror, too. It had a really nice frame, but it would cost to much to get a new mirror to put in it, or even cut one down, so I just chucked it. *sigh*

How did you determine that it would cost too much to repair it?
All you have to do is go to a local glass suppoer and have them cut some plate mirror glass to fit the frame. It may be less expensive than you think.
If you can still salvage the frame you may still do that.
I had glass cut to fit some tables, and it cost less than I had thought it would.
I even repaired a fireplace insert glass door with “tempered” glass. They cut it to size and then temper it.

" a local glass suppoer " Er, um, a local glass supplier, that is.

I could do that, I guess, but not in the near future. If the frame is still there when I go back outside, I’ll consider it replacing it.
But you have to remember that this is Las Vegas, and little jobs are not “little” financially. I worked with one of the better-known glass company years ago, and even then, their work was good, but expensive.

I’ll cut you some slack on that one, Bob, since you found it yourself...*gloriosky!*

I bought a binary system, thinking I would get a plethora of twos.
Just my luck, there was not one two in the batch.
Any sevens I come across go into my collection.

Then just save them until you have enough to build a post hole.

I appreciate the conservative nature of your suggestion, but I’ve been burned before.
I used to collect holes. It was merely a hobby, but it got a little expensive. I kept getting holes in my pockets, and in other embarrassing places. Eventualy, I lost the “whole” collection.
I fear the same thing will happen with the zeroes. I could, for example, be burglarized. How would that look on a Police report?
And where would I keep them? I don’t have no place that’s safe for nothing.

But the name is still the same...

Saw Transformers. Better than I thought it was going to be. But not for kids under say 8. Probably about as “spooky” as Independence Day or the X-men.

OK...now I’m jealous....
I may close up shop early tonight so I can bury myself in HP. I had one book to finish and one to read (special order) so I could get them back before I had to buy them, so I read the last one last night.
So. How was the movie? Was it pretty true to the book? I would like to get all the movies, but I keep forgetting I want them until I go to Amazon and look at my Wish List. *sigh*

I haven’t seen much in the way of trailers for “Transformers,” though I still like the concept!
