I wish I could have. It’s my day off and I’ve been up since 4am. I feel a nap coming on.

Ugh. Unfortunately I had to go to the office.
Pushed September (Atlanta) meeting arrangements and preparations further along, caught up on my e-mails, and now get to play editor for a few hours. Oh well.

Summer around here only lasts for a few weeks, but we’ve been having it in abundance lately. It’s all California’s fault for sending it and Oregon’s fault for letting it pass over their airspace to get to us.
The dratted Yellow Face has been tormenting us! We welcome its banishment behind the gray drizzlies.

Only a few weeks? Now that sucks. Rain all the time would drive me nuts.

Rain all the time would drive me nuts. It's not so bad. Of course, I moved here for the rain.
The hard thing here is the dark, gloomy winter. After a few winters a lot of people can't take it anymore and move away.

Rain all the time would drive me nuts. Also understand it's not rain all the time. I've still not been able to list all the words for grading precipitation, but actual rain (our definition) is something we don't tend to get much except in winter.
Right now it's sort of a light mist, but it was sprinkling on my way in (with a short period of heavy drizzle). Rain is the point where the natives start walking a little faster through the parking lot.

Rain all the time would drive me nuts.I suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) so the gloomier the weather, the more depressed I get. Another reason to live in the desert!

I had that problem too. Then in 2000, I decided that eighteen years of Ohio winter was enough, so I called 2 friends, loaded up the car, and went straight south for 21 hours.

I headed for TX, but it was worse there, because there were always overcast and marine layers. In the three years I “endured” there, I think we had two weeks of sunshine.
I came back here and here I will stay!

I suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) so the gloomier the weather, the more depressed I get. Another reason to live in the desert! Ah. But I, on the other hand, suffer Helio-Aversive Positive-Precipitation Yearnings, so it's good that I live in the Great Pacific Northwet!

Mine too lol, although yesterday’s rain brought us some insane(90%) humidity. I was running the air for two hours.

I always know when the humidity reaches the double digits, as my A/C runs more. My thermostat is set to 89, and the air in here is usually about 85, so it’s good.
I still sleep on flannel sheets, though....
