Stay away from jalousie windows. They're a pain in the ass to clean and leak air like crazy. They are so inefficient, Al Gore prolly uses them.

Oh, wait...nevermind

8. End Task
A program hangs. You type...

So true. In Linux, you can use a GUI to force quit. If you prefer the command line, you simply find the process ID# with ps -aux and then kill [PID#] it. Always works.

It’s nice to know that other people have the same grumbles. I have a dual boot—XP and Kubuntu. I didn’t think it would happen, but I never boot to XP anymore.

They forgot personalized menus, one of the worst user interface ideas ever in Microsoft products.

Windows almost inspires difficult philsophical questions at times:

If I answer Yes To All why do I need to answer Yes To All a second time?

I think Bill Gates should have reconsidered this feature before putting it in:

I object to Paint being on the list. Paint is great for exactly the reasons they don’t like it: it’s simple, it’s quick, it doesn’t do anything exciting. Anybody trying to write a bug about weird screen stuff loves Paint, instead of spending a paragraph failing to describe the problem, alt-Print Screen, open Paint, ctrl-V, save, attach to the bug report. It’s the Notepad of image editing.

Windows originally had the time zones showing on its time zone map. Now it doesn’t. Why even bother with a time zone map that doesn’t show time zones?

Yes, this counts as a major complaint. The vast misuse of CPU cycles is not important since my programs run in an eyeblink even in the faux simulated DOS ASCII window.

I have some old Windows 98 installation CDs.

I found out that if you play them backwards that you can hear satanic messages.

But its even worse if you play them forwards...it installs Windows.
