Fox News | 6/8/07

A "screaming" Paris Hilton has been dragged off to serve her full 45 days in jail. Reportedly screamed and called to her mother as she was taken away. More.

Maybe her medical condition is a farce. An individual taking any serious meds. knows not to mix them with alcohol (drinking). Taking meds. has not stopped Hilton from her lifestyle/or building her image as a party girl.

Hilton is more likely to be immature because of the pampered lifestyle she has led.

Paris has lived on her own, traveled, and worked as a so called actress/model. If she had serious emotional problems/or lacked the ablity to handle pressure she would be unable to participate in such activities.

Probably. Hence the temper tantrum and crying “MOMMY!” in court.

Justice is justice and law is law.

Paris NEEDS to grow up and she won’t if she doesn’t suffer the consequences of her actions.

Judge = Good

Paris = Bad

Simple math. She’s a brat.

because this is meaningless, and not earthshaking.

not immigration
not about war
not about Bosnian genocide
not about Islamville in NY state

only about a mechanical criminal sentence being imposed on a PR hound celebrity who will find a way around the son of sam (no profit from crime) law to sell this too.

I'm not a Paris fan and think she is a skank but I don't know what the fuss is all about. Such early releases, especially in regards to what she is charged with, are not as uncommon as some believe even for the none Parises of the world. Most who have similar none violent crimes chargers against them as Paris only spent a few hours or days, a week at the most, in jail heck even hard core gang bangers. Michelle Rodriguez only spend a few hours behind bars and she was charged for assault; Paris she's doing time for plane and simple stupidity. If she and her mother did not act like morons in front of the judge and showed some remorse she wouldn't be in this mess right now. She's an idiot.

Dec 29, 2006: Because of capacity constraints in the county jails, sentenced felons are getting early release and suspects are released in a few days following arrest, which has contributed to the number of retaliation incidents, according to police officials.

January 26, 2007: Nathan E. Downhour, 24, of Montpelier was sentenced Jan. 11 to 35 days (time served) on one count of attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. He was classified a sexually oriented offender.

She's getting more time then pedophiles get. Its pathetic.

Not quite.

DUI Sept 2006
Driving on a suspended Jan. 15 2007
Driving on a suspended AGAIN Feb 27 2007

She was pulled over by California Highway Patrol on Jan. 15. Officers informed Hilton she was driving on a suspended license and she signed a document acknowledging she was not to drive. She then was pulled over by sheriff's deputies on Feb. 27, at which time she was charged with violating probation.

Again none violent charges, a few hours or days or a week is what most get with what she is charged with. Rodgridguez was charged with assaulting another person and she got a few hours in jail. A pedophile got less time then her, and THAT is just plain sickening.

…we can slam a mental midget because we are jealous of her.

You've totally missed it.

Jealousy has nothing to do with it. The fact that this spoiled brat has behaved as though the law doesn't apply to her, and arrogantly spit in the face of the justice system does.

Everyone in this country should be subject to the rule of law, even Paris. She needs to learn that.

My bf and I were discussing time spent at county. He chose to sit out three weeks, instead of wasting money posting bail(choosing instead to waste 20k on a lawyer). Not a drug or drunk offense.

He said he couldn’t imagine being stuck in solitary. The guys seemed to get along and play cards, he worked on his forms, and taught some of the inmates different ways of doing standard exercises, like push ups, etc.

It wasn’t a picnic, but he got through it. We hope that they stash Paris in the hospital ward for the remainder of her stay.

Why does the judge get to dictate what happens to her when the police already said that she was able to go home.

You don’t seriously mean that, do you? Why does the judge get to decide on her sentence? He’s the judge. Law enforcement doesn’t set sentences, they merely carry them out. The sheriff released her contrary to her sentence and the judge’s wishes. I’d not only lock her back up, but throw a contempt of court charge at the sheriff.

“Jealousy has nothing to do with it. The fact that this spoiled brat has behaved as though the law doesn’t apply to her, and arrogantly spit in the face of the justice system does.” Precisely! It isn’t that her critics have class envy -— it is that she has no class! There are plenty of rich people who are reared to be well-behaved and law-abiding. Arnold Schwartzenegger’s kids come to mind. (Of course, they do have Kennedy DNA, so watch them make a liar of me at some point!)

Celebrity worship? Hmmm, I’d have to look up all the celebrities he’s dealt with, but regular folks don’t get a break.

This whole thing has been handled unprofessionally to say the least :(

Apples and oranges. Was it the same judge? Probably not. Hilton was cut some slack when she got probation for DUI. She was caught driving while suspended and they cut her some slack again. The next time she was caught, she was sentenced to 45 days. The max is 90.

Don't complain when someone is rightly sentenced because someone else isn't. Are you suggesting Hilton should be let go because others didn't pay enough? That's not how it works.
