Her damn agent told her it was ok to drive Do you know that for a fact? I doubt that that ever happened, it was a cooked up excuse. I've got a bridge to sell you.

Seriously Paris, when a judge says "Be in my Courtroom at 10:00 am", BE THERE. Not being there only irritates them, and THEY have the power to really ruin your day for it.

There are potential jurors that learned that the hard way, when they decided to take their dissatisfaction with being selected for jury duty out on the judge.

Paris Hilton will probably spend the weekend in a medical ward at the jail facility where she surrendered Sunday night, referred to as Twin Towers.

We’re told the plans will firm up within an hour. Hilton will stay there over the weekend, when her lawyer will file an appeal, called a writ of habeas corpus, which means, essentially, the body is being held illegally.

Ahhhh...

I think people here seem to think she’s a slut tramp and actually get a little bit of enjoyment out of seeing her go to jail because of that.

I could care less who she is or what she does... until I find out that she's treated batter than I would be treated in similar circumstances.

Would almost feer sorry for her. . .if she had not planned the party. . .

...the night before... you can cut the irony with a knife.
And then there's Greta VanClueless, telling us 20 times that she's not a doctor, but... then gives us medical diagnoses.

It did not occur to Greta that there was a third alternative explanation; Paris was coached and is a great actress...
No illness evident the night before at her "free at last" party? Does anyone else see something rotten in Denmark?

Dang. Does this mean that Sheriff Baca has to give the reelection campaign contribution back to Paris’ dad?

Lawyer/civilian late to court, you say “I appologize profusely your Honor.”

Judge late to the court, you say “no problem your honor”.

Black robe fever is a real tangible illness.

Truthfully, it sounds to me as if Hilton didn’t take breaking the law seriously. The rest of us would be hung out to dry. I agree that laws need to be enforced evenly.

Wonder how much the Hilton family “pledged” to the sheriff’s re-election campaign?? Wonder if they are still going to donate now that the scam fell apart?? The “Old West” wasn’t the only place you find a crooked sheriff. Pitiful.

My professional opinion is that she is being treated too rough, given the severity of her offenses.

Judge Napolitano agrees with you. He said no normal citizen would get this much time for doing the same thing. The judge and/or prosecutor are/is probably looking for publicity.

Methinks the sheriff was looking for a little nookie from a famous celebrity.

You'll get seriously flamed for that comment on here, but I agree. I can think of no other person that has been let out of jail and then returned FOR ANY REASON. I have daughters though, so....

I ALSO HAVE A DAUGHTER. Who I adore. But if she looses her mind (drives drunk, violates probation, etc) I will *never* protect her from the consequences of her own actions.

And I will not do this *to* her precisely because I *do* love her.

(As a parent, my *primary* job is to prepare them to be responsible adults. I can only protect them from themselves while they're children. Then, they're on their own.)

I’ve served on a jury for a similar case (multiple DUI & the violating probation) and I can tell you, her sentence was pretty normal. In Texas, if you violate probation on a second offense, you automatically get the standard sentence.

Thank you. That's what I thought.

this Paris-hatred started one night years ago when she broke in line to the restroom at some club-club. All the women were furious. She said she just went in to check her makeup.

I BELIEVE HER.

heheheheh

You’re right, she doesn’t take it seriously.

But I don’t know if I’d agree with the rest of your post. There are plenty of others who don’t take the laws seriously as well. My general impression is that our judges could care less, unless the media is watching, as it is in the case of Paris Hilton.
