The bite site is black-and-blue. Even the site on the arm which I thought she missed is a bit discoloured. But she didn’t break the skin in either spot.

I can’t say that I blame her. It can be a bit terrifying on a motorcycle even when you know what’s going on.

For the ride home we bummed a ride off a neighbor who had a car.
