[President Carter’s] combination of naivete and cynicismfrom open-mouthed shock at Leonid Brezhnevs occupation of Afghanistan to underhanded support for Saddam in his unsleeping campaign of megalomaniahad terrible consequences that are with us still. Its hardly an exaggeration to say that every administration since has had to deal with the chaotic legacy of Carters mind-boggling cowardice and incompetence.
Awesome paragraph - accurately recalling for anybody who remembers the Carter administration (during which I was in the AF) why he was so BAD a president for this countrys history, and why he is widely acknowledged as the worst president ever. For anybody who does not recall his administration, or has no clue about why hes considered the worst, that paragraph gives them a place to start their research - and the remainder of the article helps them flesh it out a bit.
Must read - must print - must show - and, by the way, this is the type of presidency we would witness if sKerry (or Ron Paul, I believe) were to be elected.
Thanks for the article, Peanut Envy..AFPhys....I will read it, print it out, and pass it on.
I agree about your view of Carter, we were in the Navy during Carter’s years....and I will never forget how he treated military folks....sure left a bad impression on me.
More annuals planted....now I need to make a list to be careful when I go back to the garden store & not get too many...running out of room. LOL
