Yesterday May 17,2007 is the day I became an INDEPENDENT...I will no longer vote Republican...with the exception of Fred Thompson if he should decide to get in....I’ll vote for him.
There you are! I was beginning to get worried about you. Are you doing okay?
I think we need to send out an APB for John. I haven’t seen a post from him since April 12. Does anyone have his contact info? I’m worried because he had those heart SYMPTOMS (only) several months ago.
Why don't you wait to see how your CongressCritter votes on the blasted bill before you lay down the gaunlet?
I heaaard Tancredo on FFFFNC dissing the bill, then an Immigration Lawyer dissing the bill. They both hated the bill but for very different reasons.
I haven't read the bill, so it's dangerrrrrous to make generalities, but if neither side is happy with the bill,,,,, there's a chance both sides have comprommised away the stuff most distasteful to their own selfinterest,
Good luck with that. I assume you have been listening to all of the anti-immigration bill ranting.
Since the bill is not a done deal, and since the pundits are once again getting hysterical, perhaps it would be a good idea to wait and see.
And are you telling me that you will vote 3rd party or stay home in 2008, when Hilllary runs? If so, I am sorry to hear it.
Now I am off to work in the garden.
I agree with you, Dog... Seems “independent” is the only way to go now.
I used to vote in the Republican primaries. We’ll see... I may be switching to “Conservative Party” in NY now... it is a relatively effective party, and Republicans running state-wide make pretty strong attempts to get the Conservative endorsement.
I haven’t really put my toe in those political waters for a long while, though, so I’ll be thinking about it for a long time.
