A "compromise" was forged in the Senate regarding immigration. Usually the word "compromise" in such a context signals an outcome that usualy involves the complete setting aside of conservative values in the name of advancing those of the Communists.

I’m going to reserve judgement until I can wade thru the text of the bill.
Mind you, I have my doubts. But as a matter of fairness, I want to read the bill before I go ballistic. Stand by.

McLimp has shown his colors on the immigration bill, wrong move for him, which is better shown now than if elected. Besides, I still can’t hack his water-boy, his flunky, Lindsey Graham.
In my lifetime I can only remember only a very few times when I found I was out of grits, I am today, got to make a run to WalMart for a re-supply, being out of grits is unamerican. I also need a few more things and do want to get away from the yard for a while, worn slap out doing all that work in it.
Foster care lady changed times to come out today to sign the adoption papers to get the show on the road so, can get into town this A.M., get my supplies and who knows, the lady might want a bowl of grits when she comes out.
Standing at my front door chirping are my two turkeys, boy they are loud, the entire herd is growing up fast and scoot across the yard like little darts.
On my way to wake up the clan, still sleeping. Hope they did not turn on the alarm last night, wakes up the world when I enter.
Thanks to all for being here to get my day started, one big ole family, a good one at that, proud to be a member of this family.

Very cool last night...temp got down to 42 here. The northern third of the state had frost this morning. I am hoping this is the last of the cold weather..it's supposed to warm up tomorrow.
Off to start my chores! I will be thinking of you and Jason today.

The sun is shining this morning but it is very cool outside.
Today is final clean-up at the 4-H building for the Gardenfest tomorrow. I will be busy for a couple days.
Thanks for the information from folks about the missing soldiers in Iraq. I will keep them and their families in my prayers. My heart aches when I think of their families.

I am going to read all I can find about the deal offered to the “illegals” before I say much about it. It is such a “hot-button” issue with so many, perhaps for good reason, but I still want to know what all is in the bill that Congress will push on us.

As far as the immigration 'compromise' goes, my primary litmus test is setting off all kinds of alarms. That test consists of taking a look at who, on the socialist side, is supporting the deal. When I see EXTREME leftist liberals like pelosi, kennedy, fattah, feinstein, leahy among the names supporting it, knowing these CRATs stand totally against me on every single issue out there, it will have to be proved to me some other way that it is a good thing for America.
Just talked to our daughter in France this morning. She and her brother share the same birthday today. She's 21, and he's 18.
Finals are over for her, and some friends are taking her out for her birthday. In the morning she'll leave for Paris, and then fly home to the United States on Monday.
We are tickled to get her home, and she's excited to get some good old American home cooking once again!
As to be expected, lady could not come this morning, coming in 30 minutes for the signing, two happy kids in the big house and 1 each old man sitting in his shack in the back.
