My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

You got that right!
It’s a whopping 51 out there and low temps should continue for 3 or 4 days. That forecast, however is just the last one in a string of rapidly changing forecasts, so who knows what’ll really happen.
I’m happy with it; I’d rather be cool than hot.

A little birdie told me you were getting ready for this.
Bwahahahaha!

It’s been a couple years since we’ve had 2’ of snow, knock on wood.
I prefer cool dry temps because I am cool with a dry sense of humor.

Ya think it is funny huh? Well, sunburn in the desert is not a joke. ;)
To: Soaring Feather
LOL. If it were only that easy. Somehow the work thing is in my genes. My Dad worked until he was 93.

Good grief, well, I guess that is what kept him going.
That’s a long time to live and work.
I must be the laziest of lazies then. I like it though. hehehe

I agree with you about sunburn, it can be extremely painful. That is why certain parts of my body are covered when I go outside. However, the desert has a certain beauty that cannot be denied. I remember walking in Saudi where wind swept sand dunes of dark and light colored sand abound. The sands colors intertwined into some interesting patterns. You could almost smell the oil in the ground

I would prefer a relaxed atmosphere as opposed to working in a stressful environment. I think semi-retirement is what I am going to opt for.

Your depiction of your time in Saudi would make a wonderful poem. You have seen things I can only dream of. There is a difference.
I do think the desert has a special beauty, most certainly the flowers are spectacular.
I have had only a brief glimpse of desert last year from the plane and it was totally captivating for me.
To: NY Attitude
Stress is a killer - much better to lessen its grip and relax in the cool evening air of the desert night.
Those moon scenes must be fabulous.

If you want to semi-retire, be sure to do something you like.
A friend in an especially stressful occupation plans to open an ice cream stand when he retires.

If you want to semi-retire, be sure to do something you like. Well that is the plan. Whether or not it will come to fruition is anyone's guess. There was a job in my past that seems to follow me on occasion. Hopefully. I can pull off an optimum mix of work / retirement.
