My Dragonfly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Your Dominant Thinking Style: Modifying |
Super logical and rational, you consider every fact available to you. You don't make rash decisions and are rarely moved by emotion.
You prefer what's known and proven - to the new and untested. You tend to ground those around you and add stability. |

Yes, at this time of year it's incredibly humid. But during our winter months Thailand is blessed with a perfect climate for months, sunny, no rain, no humidity, and not too hot.
I guess there's always give and take on earth, no matter where you go, there must be downside. (plus they never know the pleasure of a warm wool sweater, coffee by the fireside, and a good book on a cold day, pleasures not to be dismissed too lightly!)

Did it take you long to acclimate to the humidity?
The “give and take” on earth, as you put it, has caused a neighbor to buy a larger motorhome and live in it.
Their little RV helped build a little antique business and they enjoyed the camper so much that they’re retiring in September. They are going to live on the road and enjoy this country the way it should be.
I love Asian colors.

I'm glad you like the colors, but I can't help thinking how much more powerful and vibrant they would be in the full tropical sun!
Oh well, I like to try different emotional "flavors" as I go through life, I think it adds perspective to the total life experience.

Well I've been living in Asia now a good 6 years, and most places around here (SE Asia anyway), have a rainy season (or at least a typhoon season), so I'm well used to the humidity by now.
As I was saying to Soaring, I wish those colors could have been under the tropical sun, I'm sure they're much more brilliant that way. I'm going back to Bangkok sometime this month for one more visit (after that my travel log will likely be all Taiwan), and I'll try to find some new things to photo.
If the sun's out, I'll try to photo the spanking new temple, it's near the hotel so it might be worth it!
Glad to hear your neighbors "scored" with the antique shop! I'm looking forward to my own small bit of land somewhere.
We all have different ways to enjoy our great country, we must work hard to preserve it!
Speaking of which, I have some promo ideas for the next Quarterly Iraq Report, but it doesn't seem to be forthcoming. I wonder if it is held up with the budget battle over the Iraq funding bill, or if they aren't going to do anymore of those quarterly reports?

Thanks for the compliment regarding my travel host duties! Maybe I'll try that, put all my pictures somewhere on the web and give $2 tours, people can click on the tour they wish to see and read my comments while looking over the pictures, for $2 a pop! Maybe 10 or 15 pictures plus comments, per tour!
In a few weeks I plan on getting a laptop, at which point I'll start working on lots of writing, programming, and research projects I have in mind. It wouldn't be too hard to set up such a site, maybe I'll do that and see if I can generate some coinage (if so we can kick it to one of your development ideas, but don't hold your breath waiting to see any revenues!!!!)

Wow! I love what you did with the pictures. Nice artistic brush editing, and you really can enhance and bring out the colors and detail! Amazing what can be done with digital photos these days.
Thanks! The page looks great!

BTW, I am not either. LOL!

Oh good, I am glad you like them. I have many more of your photos that I have played around with. I am going to change pictures every so often as an art show would just for a little variety. This may work as a calling card for the site and your page in particular.
I think our site is very unique, and is a compliment to our talented poets, who are multi-talented in the arts. Thank You for your contribution of photos.

I think I might take up John's suggestion for a site that has mini two dollar tours for interested folks. Comprised of mini tours of my photos, plus my comments about each one.
People could drop in a run through another two dollar tour anytime they feel bored.
What do you think of such a site? Think people might be interested (like hopefully one million people, so they make me a two millionaire)?
