Why is the forum endorsing a specific point of view for a Republican candidate for President by placing a link to anti-Guiliani articles on the header?
Giuliani Truth File - In his own words and deeds.
There are folks on the forum with both points of view and one should not be supported over the other.
Something I just noticed:

This account has been banned or suspended.
Gotcha.
I hope your question has been answered.
Out of curiosity, did you retire that pic? Haven't seen that one in ages!
What? FR is biased? Im shoked!
SHOKED, I tell you. ;-)
Maybe a new freeper lexicon term.
Is this your opus? Why does your home page have a quote from a banned/suspended freeper?
Republican is a Democrat who has been mugged.
We love freedom more than we love peace
For decades, a conservative ideology a set of “correct” beliefs forming a lens through which one views reality did not exist. The conservative movement, such as it was, contained former Communists and anti-Communists, free marketers and compassionists and private-sector welfarists; unionists (Ronald Reagan’s “hardhats”) and those driven by a commitment to the Taft-Hartley Law’s section 14-B; Burkeans, traditionalists, libertarians, religionists, and believers in living one’s life according to an individualized secular virtue; neo-con refugees from the liberal swamp. They coalesced around a set of views and values one generally had to embrace in order to have one’s claim of allegiance to the conservative flag accepted.
Just as conservatism evolved away from the isolationist, business-versus-labor model leaving Pat Buchanan and his ilk floundering about in the political wilderness like beached whales so too is conservatism evolving apace away from the small-government, libertarian model so dear to the hearts of Rush Limbaugh and his acolytes. Bush has recognized this and has parlayed it into two presidential terms. However, if movement conservatives start an ideological war withing the GOP, everything which Ronald Reagan and those who believe as he did is in danger of being wrecked. The my-way-or-the-highway conservatives are fast becoming the mirror images of the lunatic-fringe Democrats from moveon.org. If the GOP is driven to the right, the Reagan Democrats who are socially conservative but fiscally liberal will be alienated and will rejoin the Democrats. quidnunc
Tom,
You are out of your league on the first point, but not the second.
Michael
No, my opus is written in prose on a different forum. The first quote I read on FR and it was not attributed. It appealed to my sense of humor. The second quote was one I read somewhere I can't remember (It's all the gray hair). It appealed to the poet.
No, my opus is written in prose on a different forum.
***So, does that mean you’ll be leaving Free Republic, since you wrote an opus? Or are you using the normal sense of the word rather than the freeper slang?
OR
Guiliani Bashing For $1000.00, Alex. :)
I’m not familiar with the slang. My use was as defined by Webster. Educate me?
Im pro-choice. Im pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. No, I have not supported that, and I dont see my position on that changing, he responded. Source: CNN.com, Inside Politics Dec 2, 1999 http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Rudy_Giuliani_Abortion.htmANDERSON COOPER 360 DEGREES (November 14, 2006)
RUDY GIULIANI (R), FORMER MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY: I'm pro- choice. I'm pro-gay rights.KING: Giuliani supports a woman's right to an abortion, and back in 1999, he opposed a federal ban on late-term abortions.
GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.
KING: Immigration could be another presidential landmine. Back in 1996, Mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.
JEFFREY: He took the side of illegal immigrants in New York City against the Republican Congress.
KING: Giuliani opposes same-sex marriage but as mayor, he supported civil unions and extending health and other benefits to gay couples. He also supported the assault weapons ban and other gun control measures opposed by the National Rifle Association.
GIULIANI: I'm in favor of gun control. I'm pro-choice.
Republican Big-Wigs Support Pro-Abortion Event in NY
Pro-abortion Governor George Pataki and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also supports unrestricted abortion, are co-chairs of the 2000 Choice Award Presentation to be held on May 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The event is sponsored by the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a group that is campaigning for the removal of the pro-life plank from the Republican National Platform.

“I noticed that even though my question and point is directed towards the FR policy, the flamers seem to think I need to be convinced Guiliani is not a real conservative.”
In your opinion, IS he a real conservative?
Because:
1. This
2. is
3. a
4. conservative
5. forum
6. and
7. Rudy
8. is
9. a
10. LIBERAL.
If you say so...........
And to directly answer your question, NO I don't think Rudy Guiliani is a conservative. I do believe when taken in context however, he is a lesser evil than Mrs. Bill Clinton.

Thanks and no (at least intentionally).
It's so obvious it shouldn't have to be explained - but conservatism IS a "one sided view".
There's the left side & the right side. Guess which side we're on?
Because this Forum is the private property of Jim Robinson and Jim Robinson thinks that Guilliani is lower than whale scat at the bottom of the ocean.
There are folks on the forum with both points of view and one should not be supported over the other.
"Should" does not apply to private property.
