The UNOFFICIAL weekend singles thread.

Seems that no one has "taken the reins" tonight, for the singles thread. I guess I'll have to.

What to talk about....

Anything we want to, really. I guess.

How about this??

Are the gas/travel prices going to affect your travel plans for this summer/spring??

In MY case--I KNOW it will.

Combined with me recently loosing my "secondary" job--I do not have the money to really go anywhere this summer. Nor did I really want to go to MB with my sister and cousin again, (it will be her 14th time there, or so--and would be my 6th time) to mainly be "there for the drive" for both of them.

So--no real travel for me. Things are in a mess anyway here. My mothers job is REALLY becoming a problem for her--an Arab woman is trying to "trump up" some things to get her fired. And I already spoke about loosing my second job. So--things are getting tighter and more tense here.

SO--lets ROLL!!

I’ve been there many times. I don’t like alcohol enough to drink when I’m there, but I know the feeling.

Well it is no suprise to me. Hatred of Christians has been going on since the beginning. Oh well we survived the Roman Empire. We can survive anything else.

The colors were speaking to them. haha.... I remember my Mom looking at that multi-colored harvest gold, avocado green and orange shag carpet for the house. We took a vote and got hardwood floors. :)

Yes the .380 is a good choice for close in. Which most pistol engagements are. I like the Walther PPK. It does have a good kick anyhow. But a smaller framed person should not have a problem with lots of practice.

Well, Cesium-137 doesn’t harm the nutritional value (exposure is very short), but it does send bacteria and parasites to the Great Beyond.

My problem is that I had a neck injury several years ago...and it’s hard for me to steady a heavier gun. My son had me try his .45... and it’s way too cumbersome. I can’t hit the side of a barn with it. The kick was bad as well. I’ll look up the Walther PPK... What kind of shells does it use?

The Walther PPK uses .380 Auto. and I think it also can be had in 32 caliber as well.

Think of a .380 Auto as a 9 MM with a shorter case. Makes the same size hole but not as much powder behind it. Good for anything lesst than 50 feet away.

I wish our society understood that truth.

But if you can handle it, the 9MM is better than the .380 in regards to power, but does not kick like the .45. Small frame 9MM guns can be had for a reasonable price too.
