The Sox and Yankees are resuming their long standing rivalry with and a mix of old and new faces. The Sox have upgraded their team with additions of JD Drew, Julio Lugo and Dice-K. The Yankees return with changes to the starting rotation and the subtraction of Gary Sheffield. Both teams figure to compete deep into the season.
For two states without much to brag about with respect to their elected officials,
Chucky and Hidabeast vs the Flip Flopping Gigalo and the Swimmer
or
The Spitter vs Coupe Deval
Here's to another season of Yankees vs Red Sox on FR!

Oblique strain that happened back in the last Yankee/Sox series. Hoping he will be back soon but his replacement is making his absence easy to take.

On both sides. Dice K had 44 pitches through 2, Schnozz has 48.
This ump as a flexible strike zone, no?

"This ump as a flexible strike zone, no?" Looks like everyone is trying to wear out the others pitcher. (Being selective)

I hope Dice K can keep them under 7 runs.
To: Boston Blackie
Well, that was big.
Schnozz is up to 71 pitches through 3 so with some patience they could have him out after 5 innings.
I think Dice-can go 6.

Come on Pedroia... get that runner in from 3rd.
To: Boston Blackie
Good inning for the Sox.
Bad inning for Schnozz
Horrible for the ump. On Drew’s AB Strike one and two were off the plate according to QuestTech

Drew gets into enough trouble on his own .... he doesn’t need the ump’s help!
To: misterrob
Runner on, two down and A-rod whiffs.

Those two pitches outside were groundballs waiting to happen. Lefties get the benefit of the outside corner due to the across body motion.
