Giuliani as Cartoon According to Parade magazine, Rudy Giuliani will be making a cameo appearance on The Simpsons next month.

Did you see Mark Levin’s expert opinion that Kennedy was pretty much begging someone to bring a case with a non-life-threatening HEALTH issue so he could overturn the law on that point.

I wonder if Rudy read that before he chose to say kind things about the court finding constitutional a law that he said he didn’t support.

I would note that agreeing with the court that a law is constitutional is not the same as supporting the law. In all the statements Rudy made about supporting partial birth abortion and opposing the law, he never said he opposed the law because he thought it was unconstitutional — he opposed the law because he thought partial birth abortion SHOULD be legal, as a matter of good public policy.

I applaud Rudy for his assertions that he will nominate strict contructionist judges like Scalia and Roberts to the Supreme Court - judges who contributed to the just-announced decision upholding the ban on Partial Birth Abortion.

Slight problem. Anyone who thinks abortion is a Constitutional right that should be publicly-funded, while advocating for the national regulation of our RKBA (which IS an infringement of a Constitutional right)...well, that person's promise to appoint "strict constructionists" rings hollow (particularly if he thinks a strict constructionist could come down either way as regards to Roe v. Wade. How does that work out?).

I also applaud Rudy for his statement that he personally disapproves of abortion.

Doesn't the fact that practically all Pro-Choice people are "personally against abortion" render this point moot?

He's a politician whose position on PBA has flipped during an election. That makes his "new viewpoint" suspect, as it should be. We tore Kerry apart for being a flip-flopper. The same should be done to all candidates who do so during an election.
