There is absolutely no way that we know when those diaries were actually written. There’s no secret thoughts in there especially where she complains about the old man calling her 20 times a day. She never did really live with him. She flew out of town on the day they were married. Geeez...she was just so caring!!

IMO, A very good thought.
Psychotherapists are frequently given diaries. Also, they are often given diaries to KEEP by patients who are very attached and who trust the psychotherapist more than their own dysfunctional family or friends.
Additionally, I think your thought is consistent with the fact that the diaries surfaced in Los Angeles AND according to the first description of their origin on the original ebay, were given to the dealer for appraisal by either a “friend” or “former neighbor” of ANS’s who had been given the diaries (as opposed to stolen).
Interesting also is the fact that they surfaced for the first auction just about the time that KE began having her participation scrutinized by medical board, DEA, etc. The $500,000 initially paid by the German collector would have helped “a tad” in the disappearing and lawyering up that was needed. The German initial purchaser lost out, but someone in Los Angeles who ANS trusted enough to leave her diaries with, (IMO, KE and Wes)profitted. I don’t think she trusted HKS enough to have left the diaries with him.
Howard Stern is one person I would not get on the plane with. He is like a poisonous parasite that attaches to whoever might be profitable. Someone here described him as having a reptilian look, a clever observation.
