Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I am not a doctor but have a lot of experience reading medical reports. I went back just now and reread the autopsy report pertaining to this question. Anna wouldn’t have died from the level of anti-anxiety drugs plus the anti-convulsant (Topamax, also prescribed BTW for bipolar d/o as a mood stabilizer), etc. When you think of what a big girl she was, she could handle more than most people.
However, the toxicologist made the point that on an empty stomach, chloral hydrate is very irritating to the stomach and causes nausea, vomiting etc. She was not eating much according to the people around her, so this could explain her vomiting and being completely disoriented (found in the empty bathtub) and maybe dehydrated. The toxicologist thought she had only been taking chloral hydrate for a matter of days, rather than chronically (based on chemical analysis). The last dose was within 3 hours of her death, I think he said. He said her last dose of Methadone was 3 days prior to her death.
Anna’s death was caused by large amounts of chloral hydrate which kept accumulating over a few days in her system. The levels were highly toxic. Whether the other drugs also contributed to her death, well, the toxicologist says so. If nothing else, she passed into a sound sleep that she never woke from probably.
IMO, though the coroner disagrees based on his analysis of murder vs suicide vs accident, this was a kind of murder. Whoever decided to leave a bottle of chloral hydrate for Anna to swig from was the murderer. She was too doped up to exercise any judgement about dose levels. She should have been hospitalized because of the abscess, lack of food, possible dehydration from vomiting, etc. Instead, HKS decided to leave her in a filthy hotel room to die. Whether he wanted to murder her or not doesn’t matter. He treated her like human sewage, kept alive to enable him to have the privilege her name brought him.
The only person on earth who really cares about any of this is Anna’s mother. And if she were my child, I would be Dirty Harry on steroids before I let these people get away with her death, profit from her death or have any control over my granddaughter.

So isn’t this something that KE should have known? I mean, shouldn’t KE have tried to get ANS into the hospital, or at least turn her treatment over to another doctor instead of leaving her to stay with people she knew were not competent to manage this? It’s pretty clear ANS knew she was in a bad way. She was crying and begging to KE to not leave for Pete’s sake. Wasn’t that some kind of mistake on KE’s part?
Howard has no control over that baby the day Larry and the baby wing West out of the Bahamas. Virgie must not be all that concerned since she is insisting that baby stay in the Bahamas until at least June (and probably longer).
considering the deadline to submit to drug/dna testing (the following day?) AND considering the inquest upcoming in weeks, the piece of the puzzle that doesn't fit is, why would an attorney allow his drugged client to be televised repeatedly, and then allow a psychiatrist to prescribe chloralhydrate which would show on a drug screen?
is there anything in the coroner/tox report that explains the contents of either the 'brown liquid' in the jar, or the baby bottle that you've seen?
